What's the worst product you ever used:

The only thing I liked about it was the smell. I know it recieved great reviews but my hair hated it.

Your not alone. The smell si to die for and I really wanted it to work but I got NO slip, NO conditioning, NO nothing.

I got more to add to the list.

Bantu relaxer, had my scalp on fire AND underprocessed me. I went and did a corrective and I was STILL underprocessed. Those texlaxed areas (I am now texlaxed 60%) are the most dry hair and brittle areas of my head.

Silk Elements relaxer, burnt the crap out of my scalp, then made my hair pretty for 3 weeks then it said "oops my bad, I lied" and reverted.

Hell, lemme say ALL Lye relaxers. I will Never EVER EVER EVER EVER! Use a relaxer that will scorch my scalp again in the name of trying to get my hair straight. Ever!

Let's see....
That's all I can think of now. Oh! How could I forget KeraCare's jojoba oil moisturizer. I can't believe what it did to my poor hair the first time I used it. I actually bought this, applied some to my strands, 10 minutes later my hair was so parched and staw-like I turned right around and returned t. No sirrr!

Mizani Relaxer. I know some people love it, but that relaxer left my hair like a straight brillo pad. The worst relaxer I have ever had.

I elect Garnier Leave-in...dull, and it just 'stood' there un-absorbed:mad: . I think ORS Carrot runs a close second..weird :perplexed texture and hair effect for me; the rest of the ORS line works very well.

Dr. Miracle!!!!!! Never again!....and I feel bad for those ladies that have been introduced to the commericals now, I'm sure more ppl will suffer from thin edges and brittle ends:(

What did you cut your hair?

Hi LocksOfLuv!!!:) :)

No I ended up not having to cut my hair because as soon as I caught on to how they reacted to my hair, re-pooed it and threw them away. Yes, it was a waste of 20-30 dollars for the pordutcs but my hair's health is priceless!!:lachen: :lachen:

It feels good to know that many others see where I'm coming from and that me not liking Motions isn't rare...

qhemet olive cream... it just made my wet hair really hard. it was supposed to detangle, but instead I felt like it was going to start matting up!

S-curl. Not sure what the hype was about for moisturizing. It made my hair hard, I hated the smell and it was a drippy mess.

Dark and Lovely (aka Wack and Crappy) Hair Color

The entire Optimum Care line (Do they even make this stuff anymore?)

ORS Olive Oil in the Jar is the devil!:angry2:This hot garbage broke off a good inch of my hair...moisturizer my :censored:!

...and like some of the other ladies the Motions line did me wrong too!:nono:

Back in the day,
the absolute worst product I ever used was Rio!

Took my hair out by the handful, seriously.

That was how I got intruduced to wearing wigs and sew in weaves.

Fast forward to present day:

I'm a natural 4b and shea butter for me is the devil!
That stuff made my hair stiff with a prickly texture and it just coated my hair.
Couldn't wash it out fast enough!

Anything by Black 'N Sassy. I tried two different products from their line and they both made my hair feel crispy and heavy.

That Silk Elements heat protectant serum. My hair felt like I had pour alcohol on it, let it airdry and then flatironed. :perplexed:nono:

From my younger days, I really hated Pink Oil Mositurizer (made my hair white), Let's Jam (smelled like crappy candy and did nothing for me), and Cream of Nature Shampoo (it was sooo hard to rinse it out for some reason. I'd be combing my hair and bubbles would float out). From more recently I really hated the myhoneychild Type 4 cream and that weird smelling spray.

I got what I paid for... Some $1.00 leave-in conditioner at the Dollar Tree store... Left my hair a HOT mess:wallbash::lachen:

^^Nice progress LadyZ.

Back in the day Motions anything, cholesterol conditioners (except Hollywood Beauty Carrot one). More recent but it's been a while I'd say Africas Best no-lye relaxer- :nono:talk about under processed and dry city, that was in '05 but I'll never forget.

ETA: Profective serum that pink stuff that heats up when you rub your hands together, and the moisturizers in the pink and yellow containers they always made my hair shed.
