I've been MBL as a child (natural and relaxed) and as an adult (relaxed).

My current length is BSL (I bc'd a little over 2 years ago).

Longest as an adult-Grazing sl. I am finally back to that length after being stuck at nl for ages.

Hoping to make apl end of this yr which will be longest ever. I still can't imagine having that much hair. It will be surreal.

Apparently SL. My hair is actually in between SL and APL, but I always measure it by the shortest hair.

My mother says that my hair was never this long as a child. I'm hoping to make full APL by the end of the year.

My hair has never been longer than shoulder length because I cut it every time so that it can "thicken up" the ends. Now I realise that I was probably sabotaging myself since if I had left it to grow out it would probably have gotten thicker as it grew - lead hairs theory. So now I've decided to grow it to armpit length so that I can test this new theory of mine.

As an adult, the longest my hair has been was between APL and BSB. That was for a brief period in college. My hair is nowhere near that length now. I wasn't allowed to cut my hair when I was living at home so as soon as I went to school I started chopping away. Coupled with the fact that I had no idea how to care for my own hair (and didn't have the desire to know), I would always cut my hair once it got back to a little past shoulder length, because the ends would look ratty.

I never thought I had a terminal length because my hair was extremely long as a child. I don't even want my hair as long as it was when I was living at home and my mom was taking care of it. I can't imagine giving up my entire Sunday like my mom and I used to do. Right now I'm shooting for MBL stretched, but I might be happy with BSB.

APL. I have been scissor happy most of my adult life. I think since my bc this has been the longest I have kept scissors from my head since I was 18. Cut free for 8 months. Yup definitely a record.

The length I am today! :)

I chose APL in the poll, but I am juuuuuust about an inch away from BSL right now.

What's the longest that your hair has ever been as an adult (let's say adult is 18 and older)?
MBL, 15 years ago while pregneant and after, then I cut it to APL
Is your hair currently that long or did you cut it, not take care of it, etc...
No, currently BSL and I am in transition...7 months post

I thought my hair was terminally at SL...but I now know that's not true...What about you?

Honestly, I had never heard of "terminal lenght" till I joined the forum back in 2009. As a teen I liked the short styles. When my hair grew long, I always thought it could grow longer... I just cut it becuase I wanted it styled a certain way.

Hi Ladies,

So, here's the poll:

What's the longest that your hair has ever been as an adult (let's say adult is 18 and older)?
at least wl stretched, it was cut to full mbl when I relaxed it
I have been religiously taking care of my hair since twa-ish

Is your hair currently that long or did you cut it, not take care of it, etc...
My hair is currently long layered mbl-

When I relaxed I had to re-learn relaxed hair as I was natural for 9 years. I started out trying to use the same products I used when natural-fail. I am sure I had some breakage here and there.& stylists giving blunting trims. I was not hair/length obsessed, but one day I realized my hair was getting shorter and the
exclusive keracare regimen wasn't cutting it.

I did some research tweaked my regimen, and grew back to mbl but layered. I have retained more length while transitioning, but I have been trimming to mbl for the past 2+ years for my sanity.
My ng is currently a little past apl stretched in the back but my hair grows in layers.

APL (when relaxed), I always got the itch to cut around then. What can I say, I loved a good bob cut. Still do.

My hair is currently hovering around APL (can't seem to get passed it), but in its natural state it's NL. I love shrinkage.

About 2-3 inches past mid-back. I think I was grazing WL at one point. I want to be solid blunt waist.

The longest my hair has been as a adult is grazing APL but lets not be generous it was just several inches past SL/CBL but it was also ridic Oprah thick. I wore it loose for four months in college during a harsh dry winter ironing it daily with a small tooth hot comb, no moisture, washing it like once every two months, DC what the heck was that? and that was end of that. I had to BC my natural due to damage twice in the last 5 yrs. :sigh: when will i ever get it. The longest part of hair is almost that length now but it doesn't count because some patches of my hair are BC length due severe HIH syndrome.

APL. I experiment too much so I was always cutting a bob, a pixie another bob. Then braids then a bc now I am almost apl again shoul be there by the summer.

As a child an as an adult (prior to my HHJ) my hair was SL. Never any longer, not really any shorter...

Currently, I am full APL, actually just beyond but I am not claiming BSB until I take my sew-in out. And this feels so good to realize I CAN achieve great lengths!

APL is where I am at now and this is the longest my hair has ever been. I'm still growing. Hopefully I can return to this thread and post MBL. Subbing!!

MBL is the longest. Currently at MBL (just a bit past it) and I'm aiming for Tailbone length....
Before that it was SL relaxed for years and years. Then I started learning to care for it and it shot to APL and BSL (texlaxed). Transitioning currently and trying to learn heat-free ways to stretch my hair. Or low-heat like rollersetting and saran wrapping.
