Whats the longest ya have gone with no progress?

I did not make progress for 5 years after going natural. I did not have the skillset until I joined a hair board. I struggled through those long bad times and now I think it was really worth it. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to texlax to make my natural journey easier, but a little voice inside me said that I could do it.

I've been natural since birth and have only made mid-back to waist length recently thanks to hair boards.

Keeping an eye on this post. The longest I have ever had was SL and for past few years I have been hoevering between neck length and SL. Now I am at NL and hoping to make a full bouncing healthy SL by mid year...

But often I feel really discouraged.

My problem is my edges & nape... I can grow length rather nicely when I dont abuse my hair... and the back of my hair is pretty thick ( unlike MOST I dont really like my hair long so I likely wont ever let it go longer than SL) ... I did a semi-BC to somewhere between neck & shoulder length in January and I see no recent progress in the front and am now faced with the thought of doing a REAL BC because the front isnt long enough to cover my edges unless I wear twistouts down in my face ( im pretty sick of that 1 style)..

My hair has been shoulder length since september '07.

wow ,, how bout the 25 years stuck at shoulder length. i see that your relatively new here, trust me lhcf is the best thing thats ever happened to my hair. i dont think i would have ever made it to mbl if it werent for these sisters! nor would i have the guts to go natural, regrow a whole new set of natural hair thats edging towards mbl AGAIN in just 2 years.

trust me, after being here for a bit longer, your going to see progress
