what's a good practice head to get?

for those hat want to practice doing braids or other styles using a doll head..whats a good cheap braid to get? also, did yall go with straight haired heads or kinky haired heads? what was the length of your dolls' hair? Thanks.

I really don't know what type of head is best to get, but I do know that I've searched on eBay to find a good deal on a head since the major retailers either sell in bulk or charge more per head. Also, you can try this website: http://salon.wimexbeauty.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=R75, they've got a good selection of human hair mannequins (some with kinky hair too). HTH.
