One of my big ones was to moisture my hair expecially the ends..I have seen a great difference since being here! Also:
NTM
carrot juice (skin is looking great!)
EVO
exercise makes your hair grow (who know?)

How about some of the rest of you ladies?

To be careful detangling my hair while I transitioned. I didnt listen and had lots of shedding.

Denman brushes and the K-cutter comb. Does the K stand for Kink? I've always wondered.

Biolage Detangling solution and the qhemet products.

I wouldn't be able to fit all the advice I've gotten from this forum in one post!

The main ones are being patient and gentle with your hair. ;)

Creme of nature shampoo (I LOVE this it almost feels like a conditioner)
Moisturize- I was having bbig issues with dry hair until I started moisturizing 2x per day
Vitamins- They Do work (especially those b-complex pills)

I owe alot of my progress to what I have learned from LHCF

Best product: Kenra
Best tip: Air dry and roller set vs Blow dry and curling iron
Best Vits: Biotin, MSM, epo
Best technique: Baggie method

The best advice I've gotten from this wonderful board was co washes by using Suave conditioners (now my staple), rediscovering WGO and mixing it with EVOO to oil my scalp, and how important protective styles are to our growing hair. :)

Here I learned about Cream of Nature Shampoo and about leaving conditioner on wet hair for a wash and go style.

The use of coconut oil, shea butter, evoo with conditioner as a treatment
How to self-trim (gotten pretty good at it)
Use of vitamins
Keracare products
Biolage products
Use of a protein reconstructor to strengthen and stop breakage

The best advice I have gotten from LHCF is the use of protein treatments and srecthing my relaxers.

I love using Nexxus Emergencee on my hair. I was always wondering why I couldn't get my hair to feel strong.;)

Strecthing my relaxers since joining the forum has helped me to see growth and overall improvment of my hair.

I have been introduced to a variety of salon brand and drugstore brand products that have helped me battle my stretching. My favs are...:D

*Suave Milk n Honey Conditioner
*Nexxus Therappe Shampoo/Humectress Conditioner
*shower detangling comb
*Lekair Cholestoral
*NTM products

The best advice bar none the baggie method!!!!:)
The best product is a tie btwn Sta Sof fro & Surge 14!!!:)

Good question...I learned SOOO MUCH. id say:
1. sylver's scarf method is AWESOME
2. Moisturize daily (this was my main issue, i thought applying leave-in after washing was all i needed) (silly, me!)
3. eliminate use of curling iron/ blowdryer (i used to blow-dry 1x wk and flat-iron every single day, now i partially domedry/airdry and flat-iron 1-2x wk)
4. i finally got the courage to stretch my relaxers beyond 6wks
5. baggie method
6. surge products
7. protein intake will grow healthier hair faster
8. hair vits, biotin to promote healthier hair
9. Wash frequently (i used to wash every 9days, now i wash every 4days)
10. sealing method (alum foil/flat-iron) haven't used it yet but it sounds like a winner.
11. sleep with showercap on underneath your satin scarf at nite to keep moisture. i only tried this once i will say it works but i'm unsure if it will cause my hair to be frizzy in the morn. we'll see....

Conditioner Washes
Air Drying
Coconut oil
Vitamins
stretching relaxers-I go to 16-17 weeks now!!!!

Wow, lots of things:

To stretch my relaxers
The Baggie Method
Oiling my ends
Sta-Sof-Fro for detangling

I think I discovered Elucence from this board. I know I discovered Salerm 21 from this board. Those are the best products I've ever used on my hair.

Pay special attention to my ends by wearing protective styles, baggie method and oiling my ends daily. This has stop the breakage and thining ends.

The baggie method, low to no manipulation, S-curl and AJamericanDiva's personal braid maintenance tips. My hair loves moisture!
