APB Ayurvedic Hair Creme
Naturalee Olive & Jojoba Buttercream

I will try to finish up:

Siamese Twists Cupuacu Carrot Butter
APB Moisturizing Leave-in Conditioner
1 HQS Coconut Lime Oil

These are the hand made stuff that I have opened up for now (except the commercial shampoo)

I'm still trying to identify/discover staple and holy grail products+technique combinations.

My plan is to repeatedly do 2 wash-and-go's using my "core, reliable" product combination followed by 1 wash-and-go in which I experiment with products I'm trialing.

Core, reliable products:
  • Cleansers: clay wash or DevaCurl's Decadence No Poo (every 3 days or so), SM's Hipo Shampoo (as needed), ORS's Creamy Aloe Shampoo (as needed, around once a month)
  • Deep conditioners: NaturelleGrow Protein-free Marshmallow, Slippery Elm, and Cinnamon Deep Conditioner, Bekura's Y.A.M. treatment, and SM's Hipo Masque
  • Leave-in conditioners / moisturizers: DevaCurl's Decadence One Condition (R/O used as a LI), Oyin Hair Dew
  • Sealant: jojoba oil
  • Stylers: Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker, SM's Hipo gel, DevaCurl Decadence Ultra Defining gel
Some of the products I'll be trialing:
  • Komaza: shampoo, conditioner, Califia leave-in and pudding, Coconut line leave-in and pudding
  • Camille Rose Naturals: Aloe Whipped Butter Gel
  • The Original Moxie: various little samples, including the Shape Shifter moisturizer and each of the gels

I have to test a whole lot of oils in the hopes that one of them can either replace or mix with castor oil to lighten it without leaving me greasy. Detangling with castor oil straight will get tiresome as my hair grows.
  • Jojoba
  • Hemp seed
  • Apricot
  • Lanolin

Cleansers: Creme of nature argan oil shampoo, or Chagrin valleys herb garden shampoo bar
DC: Myhoneychild coconut papaya hair paste
Protein: Aphogee 2 min reconstructor
Leave in: Giovanni direct leave in
Sealers: Avocado butter, or hemp seed butter
Stylers: Eco styler (for wash and goes), or herbal essence totally twisted scrunching gel (for braidouts)

New products I'll be trying: Camille Rose Almond Jai twisting butter (for braidouts)

What are your thoughts on this? Been eyeing it for a while. Also, because she rarely lists her complete ingredient list, could you post the ingredients (a pic will do)? Thanks in advance!

Cleansers:
Going to continue to alternate between clays and DevaCurl. I'm really liking this combination.

APB Moisturizing Conditioner (SAA)
NG Chamomile and Burdock, Peppermint and Jamaican Me Crazy for protein

Protein:
Play with Neutral Protein Filler

Leave In and Moisturizers:
SM LP Detangler
Oyin Hair Dew
QB Moringa Tree Ghee
HQS GM (I like it better for winter though)
CRN Moisture Milk

Trying to decrease WNG and go back to twists.

It's in my hattache cart. How do you like it?

I freaking love it. It's watery so if you don't like that then you won't like it but for my high to normal porosity hair it works miracles. It has no hidden protein so it's purely moisturizing and my hair literally soaks it up.

It makes my hair shiney, soft, and nourished. If that's not good enough it smells exactly as the name states. It has a natural fruity yet not overpowering fragrance. It's also a great price for how much you get. It's been a staple of mine for years. She's discontinued it in her line but makes it special for me. I'm sure she will do the same for you. If enough people request it she may even bring it back.

@AgeinATL and @NaturallyATLPCH

Here ya go lovies:

Deionized Water, Safflower Oil, Cocoa Butter, Cupuacu, Carrot Extract, Sanchi Inchi Oil, Vegetable Emuslifying Wax, Silk Peptide, Germall Plus.

That's all I see on the jar.

ETA: By the way, I really love this butter. I pretty much use it for sealing in my moisturizer. It's a very thick and rich butter, but yet fluffy. It doesn't even move in the jar but melts readily in my hands. Plus it smells divine.

Oooh, sounds like my hair would love that MHC Coconut Papaya Hair Paste too.

It truly is. It's a pleasure to use. It melts my tangles and it's not expensive compared to other natural dc's. I put it on detangle and put my hot head on for 20- 30 min. When I rinse it out my hair feels like butter. The only thing is it can overmoisturze your hair but nothing a decent protein treatment can't fix.

There are no hidden proteins and everything in it is 100% natural. It's a God send especially if you're protein sensitive..

I'll be using products from the following lines:

Shea Moisture
Jane Carter
Camille Rose

Mainly......

I've been trying to get away from Shea Moisture but I have my stand bys that work and they are easy access.

That Bekura brand is intriguing.

@CeeLex33

How's this butter (bolded) I was looking for reviews but couldn't really find any anywhere, but I am interested in it. Have you used it yet and how is it working for your hair? Is your hair porosity normal, high, or low?

@Aggie

I LOVE it! It's definitely a staple and keeps my hair moisturized in the chilly/cold fall/winter air. It's a heavy buttercream but very emollient and rich. I'm a type 4 a/b with thick cottony natural hair and high porosity. I use it to twist as the Cream in the LCO method and gives me big juicy twists. If you have fine hair, IMO this might be too heavy for you just because it could weigh finer textured hair down. My favorite is the Sweet Potato scent and runner up is Red Velvet (even though it smells more like vanilla). The scents are not over powering and this is a multipurpose product you can use on your skin as well.

I know @IDareT'sHair uses it too, she might have more to add...
