Any sort of hairgrease

Peroxide to put highlights in my bangs (wow)
Spray Haircolor
Fantasia Hairspray (extra hold..hair wouldn't move for days)

**I'm so ashamed**

i forgot to put bonding glue..girl you aren't the only one!

The brown gel b/c my "tee tee nisa" used it and I thought it was cool!
Perm Repair (I wasn't permed...just used it anywhoo)
Pink oil Moisturizer
Indian Hemp
Coconut Oil Grease
Liv
Random Lotions
Random Gels
Pressing Grease (trying to get bone straight blow dry)
the VO5 "hairdressing" in a tube
Oil Sheen (any kind)
Lotta body (straight and with water)
Hollywood Carrot Cream
Baby oil (yes...I have put baby oil in my hair)
That light green grease that came in the little jars (my grandmother used this and water on my hair until I was like 6)
Other random oils for flat ironing/blowdrying
911-smelled awful until they reformulated it (my mom used this!)

Funny thing is, throughout my childhood, regardless of what my mom was using (usually pink oil moist. or something similar), my hair was very healthy, shiny, and LONG!!!! We would wear our hair braided throughout the summer, so I'm sure that helped alot!

I'm sure there are more...I went through a phase as a teen where I tried all sorts of weird concoctions that I would create!

Pink Oil... Doo Gro these products that were riddled with mineral oil destroyed my hair! :wallbash: If only I knew then what I know now *sigh*

Ha-ha-ha!! :lachen:I'm cracking up thinking of how the people who marketed the African Pride were probably laughing at us when they stuck those sticks and berries in there thinking it would make us think of how natural it was. It worked!! I bought it! You have to admit, it did smell very good though :lick:

DAX... in every color..

*African Pride relaxer kit that came with that little bottle of watery leave-in, instead of a DC. I still can't believe they didn't have the decency to give you some conditioner for after you relaxed. :perplexed

*Going to a "stylist" who straight-out refused to ever give me a deep conditioner. She told me I didn't need it, and that it she didn't have time to let me sit under the dryer with conditioner. I went to her for almost 2 years. :ohwell:

*Isoplus Spritz that made my already thin, dry hair look thin, dry, and CRUNCHY. I'm so ashamed about this one.

*African Pride "Magical Gro" grease with "miracle African herbs that melt into your scalp"

*Pink sponge rollers set with Miss Cool

*Bonded weaves that tore out all my hair

*Brown gel that flaked something awful

*FLEX shampoo & conditioner. I saw this in the 99 cents store the other day, so I sniffed it for old times sake, and almost threw up from that nasty perfumey smell

My poor hair...I was so ignorant.

In the early 90's . . . nail and hair cream! I've forgotten the brand (Vaseline, Johnsons & Johnsons maybe?) but it was in a peach/pink bottle. A friend told me it stimulates growth. It made my hair a hard, tangled mess. :perplexed

Pink Oil (any brand)--- I just threw a bottle of this out a week ago had it for 3yrs+

African Pride- I remember washing my hair and being disgusted with all the stuff getting stuck in my hair
Flat ironing on the highest setting (snap, crackle, pop) & without a heat protectant
