What products have given long term benefits??

I see lots of posts about new products that give great slip or smell great, but what products have actually improved the long term quality of your hair/ability to retain length?

My list is small :ohwell:

- Cream of nature shampoo - years later and it still cuts down on my breakage when I'm in need of a touchup.
- Motion's CPR - much less breakage since using it.

I am afraid to say I have never used anything longer than 6 mos, and that is Aveda Damage Remedy line.

That is a MUST for me and it has helped me out so much. One day I will post the pic of my hair before I started using it and doing haircare. i don't have enough progress or balls as of yet!

I think you just convinced me to take the plunge and try it.

MNT completely changed the texture of my hair. i've since thrown it out, but when it worked it WORKED and my hair is much looser and curls easier.

my le kair castor oil grease is excellent i will use that 4ever

Hummm I am trying to think of things that I have used consistently long enough to see results.

Well, when I was dealing with my double processed mess last year motions cpr really came through for me. I also notice less detangling issues when I use my beloved sunsilk leave in creams and pantene mask.

My Joico collection has strengthened my hair tremendously. I started out w/Moisture Recovery, and now I alternate it w/the K-pak line. Joico has definitely turned my hair around this past year. IMO I can attribute it to the keratin in all of the products. My hair is fine, but it's the strongest it's ever been :D

Also on my list is Paul Mitchell Super-charged...My hair is never dry b/c of this deep conditioner :yep:.

I've used Sedal Keraforce products for almost 2 years now and these are my permanent staple products. The shampoo, conditioner, and rinse are excellent. They've been the main reason that I've stretched for 6 months + for the past couple of stretches. I've tried other products in between, but I always come back to these.

Cream of Nature Shampoo-- I have used many other Shampoos--most are Aveda but I always come back to Cream of Nature. Why? It works and it works consistently:yep:. Moisture (check), Slip(Check), detangles well/Less Breakage (check):yep::yep:

Aveda--I have so many of their products for nearly a year now consistently (even when I was in a weave) and I know they are the key to my hairs success so far. The Scalp Remedy line totally cured my itchy, flaky scalp. I love the Sap Moss Line. I can go on.. Anyway, I love Aveda.

Terax Crema-I use this as my DC and my hair loves it. I've used it on and off for a few years now but have recently started using it regularly for nearly every wash (I only switch it up with Elucence MB). It's the best DC ever IMO and I will always use it.

Castor Oil--a new favorite. It excellent for locking in moisture on the ends. I seal with it everyday (small doses..very small because too much can be...well...too much...lol). My hair and ends are keeping healthy because of it.

Joico is a good line. I have about 4 bottles of it that I have not used yet (they were restocks but I started using Aveda and 'forgot' about Joico). I have the Daily Care poo and con and the Moisture Recovery Poo and Con and Daily Moisturizer. Yep, I have to revisit it at some point.

biolage conditioning balm

Thanks to you ladies I have tried nearly some product from every line except Elucence, Dominican, Sunsilk, and just a couple others. But I am most grateful for Henna, Castor Oil and Aveda Damage Remedy. Plus an oldie but goodie Creme of Nature.

-Nexxus classic line (therappe, humectress, headress, keraphix, emergencee, aloe rid) -- user since the 80s and once I hit the hair boards and got educated, these products are like pure gold . . .

-Henna. O - M - G!!!!! Totally worth it!

-Castor and jojoba oils.

NEXXUS line, KERACARE LEAVE-IN, ORS line, QP line. I believe in all of these...my other products...well...I use them off and on but these few are tried and true.
