What product changed/saved your hair?

Motions CPR

I use it as a prepoo

Definitely helped when my hair was damaged. NOw,it just keeps it feeling good.

Co-signing on the DB Fortifying Masque. My hair thrives on it and as you say, it provides the ideal protein/moisture balance like no other deep conditioner. Its too bad Shescenit is gonna change the formula...why oh why does she wanna go and mess up a good product.

  1. The product-Moisture Seal Instant Conditioner
  2. How you use it- right after shampooing, then after a minute or two i was it out.
  3. What it did for you- Left my hair extremely moisturized..the conditioner its self is so thick and feels very rich.:yep:

The Product - Nexxus Emergencee

How You Use It - Slap it on, wait till it hardens, and then wash it out.

What it did for you - Stopped my hair from shedding. Worked much better then the Aphogee 2 stop. To bad I have a whole bottle of that stuff. :ohwell:

Bee Mine Luscious Balanced Moisturizer

First moisturizer that makes my hair immediately feel different (moisturized) on contact. It actually sinks into my hair and keeps it moisturized. Other products either just coat my hair or feel good for a few minutes then dry out again.

How I use it-About every other day I spray my hair with water (my hair is always in plaits), rub some of the Bee Mine in every plait. And then seal with oil.

I will say:

Scurl.
i saturate my hair several times a week.
it has provided extreme moisture & has aided in my length retention.

Elasta qp shampoo for relaxed hair and the intensive conditioner it has helped the porosity of my hair which helps my hair retain moisture better. It leaves my hair very soft.

Sent from my HERO200 using Long Hair Care Forum App

Henna. Hands down. Has made my hair stronger, retain moisture better, and generallly look and "hang" better as well. Noticed these results from my first treatment.

I henna every 4 weeks.

Aphogee 2 Minute Reconstructor

I used it as directed prior to a moisturizing deep condition weekly until it was not needed consistently. By the time I finished the bottle, my hair was revived.

Within the first use, it stopped over half of my breakage. With consistent use, it seemed like I had a new head of hair. It will always be a staple.

1. The product: Rusk Kelp Conditioner
2. How you use it: As a Leave-in for twist outs
3. What it did for you: Makes my hair stronger, awesome twistouts and tangle-free. They have changed the formula, so I don't know how the new one works(I use the the blue one, call it my magic blue goo)...it is so amazing for 4A/B hair....I truly, truly love this stuff.

Close runner up Lacio Lacio for twist outs as well---I need to dedicate a thread to it too :-)

I can't say one product in particular, but DEF using cone free conditioners and more natural based products. My hair has a natural moisture to it, when I wash out my conditioners it doesn't have a waxy/coney feel to it. I never have crazy tangling, my hair reacts positively to these products. It took me several years to realize it was products with tons of ingredients and cones that my hair doesn't like. It's weird, but I def feel the difference in my hair from using Giovanni, KBB, Elucence, Kenra... These are products I've used on and off for the past 5 years and I'd prob never be without them.

I think ... rather I know that going natural would really turn my hair around for the best too.

In other news....loving your face in the avatar :):yep:

How you use it - Dry DCing under a plastic cap for an hour or so, and then air drying.
What it did for you - Restores my moisture-protein balance and corrects my texture after I do something stupid.

Although, Affirm Positive Link Conditioner has been rocking my world lately. :yep:

Cosign. I only use cones and sulfates when I am wearing straight hair which is not often.

I know a lot of people don't believe the hype. But this has been the case for my hair. My hair responds much better to natural based products. I really like Bee Mine. And also Giovanni.

S-Curl No Drip and Hair Skin and Nail vitamins.
I take the vitamins every day. I use the S-Curl every other day.
Using the combination of these two I've experianced a decent increase in growth and retention. I have found my staples.

Product: Roux Porosity Control OR other Acidifying Conditioner

How Did I Use It: As a Final Cold Water Rinse, after Deep Conditioning with Heat (as per the directions)

What It Did For My Hair: I was 'told' I had Overly Porous Hair from Over/Double/Triple Processing and using an Acidifying Conditioner as a Final Rinse Health restrict my Cuticle and cause it to lie flat after Deep Conditioning with Heat to retain & absorb moisture.

My hair is overprocessed ( i think) has this brought your hair back to normal? does it work like protein treatments? and I've read that it makes your hair hard if you use it after a deep conditioner and that it was best to use it right after shampooing before a deep conditioning treatment? have you tried both?

The Product: Coconut Oil

How I use it: Daily on my ends, and on my scalp if I happen to be braided up. I heat it up and slather it on for an overnight treatment as well before co-washing out.

What it did for my hair: Softened it and strengthened it. I have super thick, very coarse hair and it is much more manageable now with little to no breakage. Ends look great (I only trim once or twice a year). I have great shine also. And it's natural and I don't have to worry about "ingredients".

S-Curl and Coconut oil

I co wash, spray the s-curl and seal with coconut oil and bun

Keeps my hair moisterized, soft and makes my ends curl all week long. They aid in length retention. These are my staples forever!!!

Silicon Mix - I use it as a DC. It provides a lot of slip which is great if i choose to detangle when i'm conditioning, and i believe it has some protein in it, which it a plus for my fine strands.
&
Coconut Oil - use it seal after my moisturizer, and sometimes i put it on my face when it's drying out since it's really light and easily absorbed by the skin
