My vote was for feel. I believe this because depending on hair type, "healthy" hair may not be the shiny hair we all want to achieve. Some 4a/4b hair, for example, doesn't shine but if it's healthy, it has a sheen. Some healthy hair doesn't have shine or sheen. But to me, it's hard for unhealthy hair to feel good.

I agree because I have 4a hair and my hair do not shine unless I put in ALOT of serums and oils:)

Definitely Look and Feel for me. I see women with long hair and short hair and certain heads catch my attention, no matter what the length happens to be. I'll say feel is important for my own hair, as it is an indicator of its health.

I voted length, look and feel. I am on LHCF because I want to grow long hair, so thats obvious. The look has to be good, who wants to walk outside w/jacked up hair? And feel for me also since if it feels bad its usually damaged or lacking moisture which can in turn sacrifice the look and the length. So all 3 matter to me. But, I really with there was an option for health. You can have all 3 of those but still have unhealthy hair:ohwell:

Its funny that I came across this thread, Im going home and my mom thinks I look a mess if my hair is in a bun so I had to.....put heat on it:mad: and curl it:mad: . I forgot that my hair hates "cones" and I used a cone filled serum and my hair feels so bad! So definently the feel (because I'm washing this mess out tomorrow ASAP!), look and length (because I really really want APL)!

The feel matters the most for me, but I chose the look and feel combo.

There is a class held at my home on the wkends and one of the sisters said they can't believe I have my hair like that (6 box platts, 2 on each side in the front and 2 on each side in the back, ) I responded, girl I don't care as long as it's clean and it feels like silk, :D , I also added, plus I can have a hairdo in a matter of minutes if I choose (braid-out). I kindly undid my platts, finger combed and was like whalaaa, . Since it was wash night anyway I didn't mind and the platts are back, :look: . Just incase anyone is wondering she wasn't being rude w/her comment and neither was I in my response, everything was gravy (as they say, lol).

The look and the feel matter most to me. I will love to have hair that is BSL but not it it looked badly damaged. I am content with neck, shoulder, armpit, whatever....just as long as it looks good.:)

To me, it's the look and feel combined.
I'm working hard to keep my hair healthy, soft and strong...if it's in good condition, it will feel good too. And I'm proud of my work. :D
The lenght will come in time.

For me, all three are very important but if I were to have to chose one it would be the look.

I agree with one poster who commented that she's seen ladies with long hair but it felt like straw. I'd rather have hair that people are dying to touch (but won't because they don't know me like that!)

Hair that looks shiny and healthy, usually is! You can't fake health! If your hair looks soft, shiny, and healthy, it will probably feel just as good. So there go two birds with one stone.

As for length, I'd rather have great looking hair that's chin length than butt length hair that looks like yesterday's tired weave!!!!

I voted the look and the feel matter most. My hair absolutely has to look and feel healthy. As a matter of fact, I just lost an inch this weekend because it didn't feel healthy. that's 2 inches in 3 weeks. it hurt, but to me, there's nothing worse than long hair that doesn't look or feel good :barf:

I voted Look and Feel.

The look matters b/c I don't wanna leave my house lookin a mess
The feel matters b/c if my hair feels dry, it will probably break then I won't gain any length at all.

i choose the feel length combo, cause depending on
the weather my hair can look a chitty mess but still
actually be ok. plus i have decided that uneven
not so nice looking isnt important to me trying to make
it look good has cost me months on my lenght

For me this was a tough one but I went with the feel and look. Length is important, which is part of the reason I'm at LHCF, but I wouldn't say it matters MOST.

I would say the feel and health. I would hate for someone to touch my hair and be leave with greasy hands. One thing I will say is that even though my hair is only a couple of inches pass my shoulders now it is healthy, has a natural shine, and has a nice feel. Hopefully about a year from now I will have the length to complete the package.

I voted look and feel. For me, it's important to have my hair look good at any length AND feel soft and moisturized.

Feel matters most to me, then length. My hair has different lengths and FEELS too thin to me. It does not help that I have fine hair. So my focus is own growing out the shorter areas first. I think I can determine the health of my hair best by the feel. The look is something I can change easily, so while I want my hair to look good of course, I will do boring styles to work on the health of my hair.

For me the feel is the most important. The feel of my hair tells me what's going on. If it feels dry, I know I need more moisture. If it's too mushy, I know I need a little protein. Next comes the look for obvious reasons... the look of your hair says so much about its health.

At this point all three matter to me, but its kind of hard to separate one from the others. I am impatient to get to a longer length, but don't want to sacrifice health for that sake.

no matter the length of the hair, i think healthy, nicely cut, shiny, bouncy, thick hair will look the best. I vote for health and also feel because if it don't feel right then it aint healthy.

The look and feel matter most. Because I'm transitioning and therefore starting over, length won't be of much important for a LONG TIME. Therefore, the look and feel is all I have to go on.

ITA. Health is the only thing that's important.
