What is your tipping policy for the Dominican salon?

I get confused about this. I'm not sure what they expect. I try to tip at least 15%. For fancy salons, (I rarely frequent these) I try for 20%

Any tips?

I do not use Dominican salons anymore after an awful experience with a blow out on my natural hair; however, I tipped 10-15%.

I don't think I ever got stellar enough service to tip 20% at a Dominican salon, not in NYC at least.

I keep it simple. I tip $5 for the stylist and $5 for the shampoo girl. If one person does both, I tip $7. I rarely visit the Dominican salon in my area, but I think their prices are a little bit high. Therefore, I don't tip too much.
