Hey Bre,

I didn't read thru all of the responses, but don’t the Maxiglide uses steam. Moisture and natural hair do not mix if you want to stay straight. If so, this may be why you have is fizzy. Try a different flat iron!

There has to be an answer without resorting to chemical for a straight look.

Good luck!
I use the Maxiglide with steam when I straighten my hair and it comes out really straight...the moisture doesn't affect it at all.

Looks alot like my hair today. i tried to straighten it and got the same results. Ended up wearing a rough looking pony to work. If u find a solution let me know so I can try it.:ohwell:

I have never been able to reproduce what a stylist can do with a blow dryer and flat iron doing my own hair. This is why I have always gone to the salon. Since I have been on LHCF I have I have rollerset twice and it cam out preety straight with the ponytail method. I have a ceramic straightening comb that I can work preety good with. I havent used it since Ive been on here but when I straighten again I will use this comb until I invest in a good flat iron.

It might be a porosity issue. My hair would look puffy after flat ironing it to. Try to incorporate protein in your regimen. I did a clear rinse which helps out alot with porosity issues.!!!

I just spent over two hours straightening this mess to end up with the results below. What is wrong with my hair? It is NEVER ever frizz free or straight. Why???? I am at wits end and very angry and frustrated. I used my maxiglide on friggin 10!! Used Chi heat protectant and serum, dc'd before hand, etc etc. I am sick of this. Do you think if I texturize my hair it will be different??

ya, u need to ROLLER SET after you DC, BLOW DRY, THEN flat iron.
