rollersets.
doing my hair myself
using the good products that happens to be more expensive
protein

Deep Conditioning my hair on a regular basis, ie., at least twice a week on wet or dry hair. My hair absolutely loves these treatments. YUM YUM:lick:!!

The best thing I ever did was stop wearing fake hair - braids, weave, etc.

It forced me to really learn how to do my own hair and take care of it.

It was sooo hard at first. I did not feel attractive and did not know how to make my hair look good. But now, if I get a set of braids, after a few weeks, I am ready to get rid of them.

For me, it is a toss-up between co-washing and stretching. These two methods combined have given me growth and thickness. but if I must choose one, well I love stretching but Im in love with co-washing LOL.

Increasing the number of DC treatments each week.

AND

Sticking with what works for my hair, staying off of bandwagons...:lachen:

The SINGLE best thing for me is CONSISTENCY. :yep:

'All things good' for my hair fall under the umbrella of consistency:

~ Deep conditioning
~ Regimen
~ Product line (Keracare)
~ Touch-up by professional
~ Sleeping in satin cap
~ Reduced direct heat
~ Trimming

Making custom conditioner, lol. I mix SAA w/ oils and then two diff conditioners. My hair definitely notices if I don't make my concoction :yep:

Best thing has been transitioning............scalp is flakeless, hair is fuller, darker, stronger.

Clarifying w/ baking soda #1

Keeping my hair properly moisturized #2

Sorry, I can't follow rules :lachen:

Cutting off every inch of dead straight hair and starting from scratch! I wore my hair 100 natural for several months as I got used to my natural texture, then added a mild texturizer to my hair. I also tried using natural products during my first year.

My hair is now longer than when I began almost one year and a half ago :yep: due to tips that I picked up on this forum and others. I also avoided heat like the plague!

using natural oils!
but this was mostly cause of chitter chatter on my own group as well as posts here

I didnt think I COULD give up the grease!

also stopped using watery leave , and now use creamy ones :yep:
