There used to be a small army of phyto heads on the board back when I was a lurker.

What happened to all of you guys? Did you quit using phyto? Have some of them left the board?

I think that they are still here. I hope so. I was thinking about taking the plunge given my last experience with silk elements

I used it twice, then switched to silk elements. I'm looking for a new relaxer now:look: The phyto left me underprocessed.

I'm a new user and I love it. I took my box to the salon and got it done and it's been great all week. Just washed it so we'll see how it comes out but if something goes wrong, it'll probably be because of me and not the Phyto II.

I'm a phyto head. :) Its been my relaxer of choice for about 2 years now and am still loving it!

Really??!! Okay, maybe I won't try phyto. I am still looking for a relaxer system to use at home. I am thinking about trying vitale. I have used Mizani no lye before at home with great results though. I really wanted lye unless it was phyto though.:ohwell: ....off to search the board.....

I've been using it for over a year and have not had 1 problem yet. I stretched 12 weeks the last time with no problem and this time I'm going for 14 - 16. You have to use ALOT of the product. I like my hair bone straight and it does the job every time.

We are still about...i love it and bought two boxes for my next touch up some time ago im just waiting till i can be bothered...

Im not straying from this at all!!!

I've been a user for almost 2 1/2 years now...don't plan to ever switch to anything else...

my comment is...and I'll take a rock for it....I've taken boulders before..... that there's a big, huge, gigantor 'everything you ever wanted to know about Phyto' thread..that will go down in hairboard history(thank you Kaddy)....there are many, many, many subsequent Phyto threads in addition to that huge one.....

I love Phyto like a MUTHER...I even have a display of products in my bathroom :look: ...but how many different ways can one discuss this one product?:ohwell: *I know in this instance that this thread is only to find out if the users are still around, understood*

It doesn't mean everybody has stopped using....just probably tired of commenting on it...and the heads that don't use it or don't like it...think it is a product made by the devil himself

....

I'm just sayin....

oh, yeah...I just did....

my bad.

*let the rock toss....*

I've been a "phyto head for years and will continue. For those that like the relaxer, you should seriously try some of the shampoos and conditioners. Really good stuff.

Which ones do you suggest? I have been interested in trying but not sure which ones are good.

There still are a lot here, but I've noticed that a lot of the original users don't use it anymore. Price and accessability could have been factors for them. I dunno though.

Though I have tried them, I do ot use the Phytospecific shampoos and conditioners - the scent makes me sneeze.

For super-duper moisture, I use phytojoba shampoo and just tried the new phytojoba hair mask and I love it. I used touse phytokarite and bought this one when I ran out. My regular moisturizing conditioner is phytosesame. I also use the phytoneutre shampoo because I love the way it smells and makes my hair feel. Finally, I use the phyto7 leave in creme.

These products are from the dry hair line. The ultra dry hair line (which my daughters love) is also good, but I like these better. My hair gets soft and shiny with little to no breakage - and that was before LHCF. I'm looking forward to being out of braids so I can return to using my fav products with the new knowledge i've gained. The first time I tried them, I thought eh - no biggy, but I had to finish using them. By the time I completely used the first set, I was back for more. The products work well and the cumulative effects are even better.

Check out www.phyto.com there is a link to phytospecific there as well. I do not thnk it outside of the realm of possibility that you could get samples to try the products before you buy them.

The Phytonectar shampoo is amazing. It's from the ultra dry hair line and it blows me way everytime I use it.

THanks so much for the details!!! I really want to try some of these.

I bought a Phyto relaxer II for $49 :D from ChiChiKinks and she also sent samples of PhytoCitrus shampoo and mask. Those 2 made me VERY interested in Phyto shampoos and conditioners.

Do you like the conditioner that comes with the relaxer?

I was looking at this shampoo before, does it detangle?

I first tried it in November ('06) I think. I'm still loving it. My hair feels stronger and thicker.

I'm getting a touch up tomorrow. I will post some updated photos.

I don't detangle my hair until I'm rinsing out my deep conditioner, but I do know this shampoo makes my hair feel very smooth and sleek as I'm rinsing it out. HTH.

I am still on the board. I had a couple of applications of Phyto. However, I do not self relax and it was way too expensive to get done at the salon. I am happy with the Design Essentials relaxer. I still use the Phytospecific maintenance products: Intense Nutrion line, Integral Hair Care, and Moisturizing Styling Balm.

The PJ in me will probably try the Vital Force conditioner soon. These products do make your hair stronger and they give the hair a lot of body.

Phyto head checkin in!!!

I've just been weaved up for the past 6 months, so I haven't relaxed my hair in a while...

I still use it, just touched up a few weeks ago. It straightens my hair but doesn't take away the thickness. As much as the relaxer costs I am afraid to try the maintenance products and fall in love with those too, because that is TOO MUCH to spend on my hair. (At least, until the kids grow up and leave the house. )

I'm still here. I'm almost 6 months post and going back and forth about going natural. If I decide to relax it will be with my beloved Phyto, going on almost 5 years now.:)

I'm here. I a newbie to Phyto (started 04.01.07) and I love it. I use only Phyto and BT on my hair. Its a bit pricey but I'm worth it.

I'm definitely still using Phyto II. I started in August when I decided that I wanted to switch to texlaxed. I decided to try it for at least a year and so far I really like it. I enjoy the fact that it isn't so harsh on my hair due to the ingredients and I'm able to achieve texlaxed hair with it because it isn't as strong. In fact, I just did my first self relaxer yesterday! (i usually buy it and then go to the salon for application). It went well and I plan on sticking with Phyto.

I GOT MY 1ST PHYTO II RELAXER TODAY. OTHER THAN FEELING A LITTLE DRY, I THINK IT WILL BE A BETTER CHOICE FOR MY FINE 4A HAIR. WHEN I TOUCH MY NEWLY RELAXED PHYTO HAIR, IT FEEL'S STRAIGHT BUT THICK. AS MY FINGER'S TRAVEL SOUTH TO MY OLDER MIZANI RELAXED HAIR IT FEEL'S MUCH THINNER. SO, WITH THAT SAID, I WILL TRY THIS FOR AT LEAST 2 MORE RELAXER'S. I'M SURE ONCE I DO A DEEP MOISTURE CONDITIONER, THE DRY FEELING WILL BE CORRECTED. I HOPE!

IT DID NOT BURN AT ALL, AND I NOTICED HE LEFT IN ON FOR QUITE A WHILE.
