I live in the durty too. One style I cannot get down with is the Halle Berry cut(real short) with a long weave purple pony tail coming out from the side.
I will also never do the gel on scalp thing. I see so many girls gel every hair strand to their scalp.
Also, putting objects in their hair like toys, birds, flowers. It is like a hair show everyday!
The long mermaid weave.(The classic sea biscuit look is out)
crochet braids (need I say more)
The rainbow weaves. Now you ladies in the South know what I mean. How many of you have seen three to four differnt color weaves just to match an outfit?

i feel you on all of those! i hate this whole "baby hair" trend too. (not when its actually baby hair, when it's hair they pulled up and gelled to their skin to try and make it look natural)
I used to love some fingerwaves and pin curls pair that with a french roll and I would be happy for days. Shoot I wore french rolls with pin curls for almost my entire freshman year of college, my hair grew out so nice. My hair did not mind the spritz or being rock hard, but my scalp minded being deprived of oxygen. Talk about something itching
No fingerwaves
No jheri curls
No baby hairs brushed out
No hard french rolls
No hard anything
No braids (with fake hair)
No cornrows
No weaves
Just my personal preference. This is not to say that I don't think other people look nice with these styles. In fact, I think some people look VERY nice with these mentioned styles.
I would never wear finger waves or any of those outragous hairstyles that need to be glued up. Also I would never wear a twa which is why im planning a long transition. I would never wear dreads either.
I will never wear those crochet braids again. They broke my hair out big time, and it's a struggle getting them out. No alcohol based hair spritzes or gels. And, heavens no, wearing a weave with weaving glue. Oh yeah, no more short hairstyles. I want long hair, and that's what I'm striving for. Are you all with me on this??
No crispy styles or anything that won't let me wash my at least 2wice a week! I'm in lust with clean hair that has no white flakes or nasty smell. I shiver in disgust when I see an oily, greasy head with flakes all through it and gel residue all dried up on that fake "baby hair" Or someone trying to hold onto a hairstyle for a month w/o washing ill!...glad I know better now!
*Anything sewn, glued or bonded to my hair (i may get some clip in gold/blonde hair pieces to match my New Orleans Saint's Jersey though once football season gets here though) --sorry y'all i'm a WhoDat so deal with it --(singing) Who Dat..Who Dat...Who Dat say Dey gonna beat Dem Saint's!!! Go Boys!!!!! whooohooooo
*Jheri curl -- again it was the 80's i should get a pass
*Hard hair styles
*Sporting 3 or more hairstyles all at once how some girls like to do here in the durty, durty--- some of y'all just be wrong and ya knows who you be

I'm with you on banning "crispy" styles. I'd also never wear a jehri curl, finger waves, or anything that has to be glued into my hair.

I think she's talking about those thick french rolls that you stuff to get them to look bigger and thicker, I dunno for sure. But I remember those. They were awesome.
