What do you use to moisturize your flat ironed/pressed hair?

Hey everyone, i am getting my hair flat ironed this week after being in braids for 3+ years. I have become so dependent on braids that i became ashame to be seen with my real hair. But since i have went from a shoulder length permie to a shoulder length natural i think i am ready to change things up a bit.
I just don't want to loose all of my progress while being flatironed so i plan on keeping my hair moisturized, but with what? and will it help with reversion?

thanx

I think know someone asked the question before and someone posted back saying they did a good moisturing deep condition prior to pressing and just used a light oil and wrapped/plaited hair whilst it was pressed.

I would like to know if someone knows of a way to moisturise whilst the hair is pressed that will avoid reversion......

ORS Olive Oil lotion in the bottle. Or v05 strawberries and cream conditioner. They both work well and the v05 makes it smell good. The V05 is not as moisturizing as the ORS though.

ETA: To help with reversion use an anti humectant spray.

You took the words right outta my mouth :)! ORS is what I swear by. I use it as a heat protectant and to moisturize my ends whether I'm wearing my hair curly or straight.

I think you need the right amount of moisturizer and heat to keep your hair from reverting. I always flat iron with ORS and my hair stays straight until I wash it. If I sweat a lot it will revert though of course.

I am in love with using only coconut oil on my straight hair because it keeps it from reverting 100%. Not a single wave pops out the whole time.

Now if i could just find something that would keep my scalp moisturized and stop itching while its straight without causing reversion:perplexed...

I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Serum shine stuff (I forget the exact name), Design Essentials silk (it is very light but effective).
