for all my short haired sistaz out there:

My puny little ponytail can't EVEN fit in a sadwichbag. It's like a goldfish in the Atlantic Ocean.

I personally use a PIECE of saran wrap.

Don't laugh ya'll- it's working lol

Sometimes when I'm low on sandwich bags I use the plastic shower caps and just cut out the elastic and wrap away!!!

I use the processing cap too...what I do is...place the cap over my ponytail and then start twisting kind of like twisting bantu knots then when I get to the end I take the little bit of cap that is left and flip it over my pony tail and the elastic allows the cap to stay in place...I love this method...

I do this as well.

Last night I did my first baggie. I haven't yet bought any sandwich bags since moving back to Nashville for the school year so I had to make due with what I did have. I had a big bundle of Sparkle papertowels. I tore off some of the plastic from the packaging and put it on my little ponytail (that I put in a roller) and secured it with a ponytail holder. The next morning, I took it down and my ends were so moisturized.

Ok so since your hair is so short and you do the baggie method, how do you wear your hair the next day? My hair is short as well and I can get a little bitty pony and I want to do the baggie method for my ends but I have little or no time to get ready in the morning because I wait until the last minute to get up.....LOL

girl - I can't wear no pony short as I am with 1.5 new growth and 3 inches underprocessed hair! I have to wait for relaxer for a phony pony.

After I put my pony in the baggie and s-curl, I put on my netted wig cap and wear my custom wig I made:

Well, I guess I am the odd ball here because I use a plastic processing/shower caps. This works great for me;)

You are not the odd ball because I use processing caps too for my baggie...I like using the processing cap because you can flip the rest of the cap over your ponytail and then apply your bun or phony pony....I put a little bun cover over my baggie...I have diifferent colors...

I use a sandwich bag but cut off the ziplock part.

How often do you guys change your baggie? I usually use a fresh one on wash day (after about a week) because by then my hair starts to smell sour and so does the bag.

Well being that I only use a piece of saran wrap. I change after every wash/cowash. And I wash sat night, co-wash mon night, cowash wed morn. and then back to saturday again.

I literally can tear off a piece of saran wrap and have plenty left over. So I leave the left over in my bathroom.

I tried to reuse but it's too slippery with the product on it.

I change my processing cap daily :look: I can't use the same one twice ...I know I'd save some money if I did but oh well.... they come 30 in a bag for $2.00 at the BSS I just stock up!

I guess I'm the odd man out, because I use a knee hi stocking. You would be surprised how much moisture it retains and you don't get the crunching sound. Plus you can match colors close to your hair color. Give it a try.;)
