Yesterday I decided to try the baggie method. I thought it really was kind of strange going around with sandwich bags on my hair. I really didn't understand the purpose of this method. After all evening and having my son trying to eat it  I will admit that my ends came out nice. Super soft and moisturized. So, I will continue to do this method! And it doesn't take a long time to wrap your ends up in saran wrap or a little sandwich bag. And they only cost $2 for 100 bags! I'm doing this Hide your hair until Christmas Challenge I wonder if wearing my hair in this baggie all day everyday can have any adverse effects? All in all Im asking.....can you over moisturize your hair? And if so..what signs would indicate such?

Thanks!

Glad you liked it. With the baggy it is very easy to over moisturize. As your hair will be wet and breaks easy. I find with the baggy you are better off adding a few drops of water, a LITTLE BIT of cream moisturize, and your oils.

But I wear mines all night and all day sometimes while i am wearing a phony pony. Even some days when i am not going anywhere I were it. I love it.

Yeah, when i am not in braids, i sleep in a baggy every night. While moisturizing, this is also important because I use MTG and dont want to stain my linens.

Yeah, the baggy is the bomb. I got a box of 300 bags for 2 bucks at Family Dollar and since I am uh...frugal (fancy talk for po) and will rinse and re-use a baggy in a minute, this box is gonna last me a long time!:D

Have you ever tried baggy-ing your whole head?? Its really amazing. I trried baggy-ing in the early part of my hair journey but what I did was I OD'd on all the WATER and all the PRODUCTS (Certified PJ). I think that I have the hang of it though.

I use Keracare oil moisturizer (a LIL bit) and some NTM Silk touch leave in. I wrap my hair and put a plastic shower cap on then I put on my scarf. My ends are looking better.. I just didnt want to report yet because I've only been doing my full head baggie for like two or three weeks now.

I am, however, in search of a GREAT phony pony...

Does your hair stay wet once you take the baggy off? I tried the allover baggie and it seemed like it took forever for my hair to dry when I took it off the next morning.

I have only DC'd overnight like this. I don't think I could do the whole head baggy because my hair would never be completely dry. I would worry about mold or mildew growing on my head .
