what do I look for in a CW conditioner?

I am about to stock up today for a trip and I wanted to know what are the most important ingredients in a cheap conditioner and what ingredients I shhould be careful not to buy.
For example, is alcohol always listed as aclohol in cheap conditioners (like VO5, Suave etc)?
Which ones are stellar?

I look for the ones that are moisturizing or specifically for dry or damaged hair. Not because my hair is damaged but because my hair needs the moisture. Since I'm heavy handed on the conditioner I look for the cheap ones to use for cw and the more expensive ones for deep conditioning. Suave Professionals Humuctant and Awaphi (sp?) are two of my favorites. VO5 Strawberries and Cream is good too.

Oh I forgot Suave Milk and Honey works well too!

ive become a big fan of the vo5 hydrators line....and i hear the suave awapuhi and humecto (suave professionals) work really well too....those are a bit more expensive, but nothing is over $2

Does Suave Professionals Humectant Shampoo & Conditioner, come anywhere close to Nexxus as it claims?

ITA. Suave is real good for conditioner washes, i.e. Tropical Coconut (try mixing it with coconut milk for even more moisture and slip). VO5 is also another good choice. I've just got through having my CW using VO5 Oasis Honey & Almond conditioner mixed with coconut milk. My hair has excellent slip from the conditioner, and the fragrance is to die for!! To me, I like it more than Suave Milk & Honey. The Honey & Almond is more moisturizing, and can be used for both conditioner washing and deep conditioning.

I like Suave Milk & Honey and St Ives Vanilla & Edelweiss for my cheap conditioner but lately I been using my Kendra
conditioner.

That is awesome for a CW. My hair had wonderful slip and is extra soft & silky today.

cowgirl, Im not sure but I intend to check it out because Im a pooor student and there may come a day when I run out of my nexxus that I need a cheaper alternative

I only buy the nexxus when they have the liter sales, then its a good investment and no more expensive than normal hair products.

Thanks Leslie, I'll have to keep an eye out for some Nexxus sales. Do you usually find them locally at a salon, or on-line somewhere?

COWGIRL
I noticed most salon in the malls and Walmart salon has the liter size Nexxus products on sale.

I don't look for any particular ingredients. I look for conditioners which will add moisture to my hair. My favorite conditioners for CWs are St.Ives Extra Shine, VO5 Hydrator, Vo5 Pina Colada and last but not least, Suave Milk and Honey.
