No itching just a bit of flaking in the front of my hair. But last week I went to Sally's and puchased some WGO and put a little in that area. I have not noticed any flaking this week. Maybe it's helping.

Usually after I clarify I still get flakes. I experimented last night with honey. I clarified with Pantene and deep conditioned with Lekair Cholesterol and a bit of honey. As a rule--I don't put conditioner on my scalp but this time I put plain honey directly on my scalp in one section. After I rinsed, dried and styled my hair there was no flaking of the scalp in that one section. The untreated areas were still flakey. Within the next 3-4 days I going to wash my hair and put honey on my scalp in a larger area while deep condtioning to see if I get the same results. I'll be sure to post my results again.

Keiron, do you know if you have hard water? Do you ever do apple cider vinegar rinses? I just wondered if the flaking may be due to residue of the hot oil or the organic tea tree set, since when you stopped applying anything on your scalp, the flakes diminished. So I'm thinking the little you are seeing may be due to a little sth still being left on your scalp. It could also be calcium in your water if you have hard water, so ACV would help neutralize that. Do you ever use distilled water?

Aubrey Organics' Rosemary and Sage Hair and Scalp Rinse may also help. You apply it after shampooing and leave it on for a bit then rinse off before applying conditioner.

I'd still finish off with an ACV rinse after washing off the conditioner, making sure to massage your scalp well to remove any conditioner residue that may settle on your scalp. The ACV will help lock in moisture in your hair and give it shine...as well as leave your scalp squeaky clean.

Before you wash your hair try putting Seabreeze on your scalp... it gets rid of flakes

Once your hair is dry try using Topbrass that helps for dry scalp also..

I didnt read thru all this so i dont know if this was mentioned. But.. this problem plaqued me for 20++ years and only recently did it stopped. I found out im sensitive to wheat (and anything that has gluten), dairy (milk and cheeze, yogurt). I totally cut them out and my scalp if perfect now! I couldnt not have imagined in a million years, and after a couple of months went back on wheat and sho' nuff.....

Either a few things:

1. The scalp is too oily
2. The scalp is too dry (which I'm thinking)
3. Internal problem

Maybe you should try washing more frequently. Water has been the best thing that ever happened to my scalp, and I rarely get flakes anymore, unless my scalp is really dirty or really dry.
