I've got a few Amika products but I've only just started using them today. I'm awaiting delivery on 3 more of their products, the frizz shampoo and conditioner, and the Super Fruit Star oil. I have a sample of the oil, I've not tried it yet but decided to buy the full size, first because it was reduced in a closing down sale and then because I think I'll like it. I've been slowly gravitating towards the Amika brand for over a year. I've always strongly felt like their products will work for me, there's a few brands I feel that kind of supernatural pull towards, I'm working my way through them.Im for the Amika products! I haven’t been disappointed yet!
The It's a 10 serum should be with me by Wednesday, along with my Amika frizz control shampoo and conditioner. I will be sure to use it in smaller amounts, thank you. I have seen so many great reviews about it, I'm looking forward to trying them out with the other Amika products to see what happens. I've heard that the CHI silk infusion can become heavy on the hair if too much is so I'll be light handed.I always use chi silk infusion when doing blow outs, flat ironing, and silk pressing. As far as when to use it in a combo, I add it last before using my heat tool.
I have used It's a 10 Silk for blow drying and flat ironing with good results. I would be cautious with using it for a silk press bc it can weigh the hair down if you use too much or are heavy handed with it. You have to spray it very lightly when silk pressing. I tend to stick with liquid leave ins vs lotiony leave ins for silk presses.

Thank you, you've just reminded me to make sure I clarify on the day I do my hair for this ball. I might have forgotten as I usually clarify once a month.Ok sounds good. Keep us posted on your results!
The Chi and It's a 10 silk are both great products. Chi silk infusion is a staple, my hair loves that stuff.
I've never actually had a problem with Chi getting heavy on my hair. (But I am light handed with product application in general). The only time it feels heavy is when I don't get my prep right by either not clarifying, or using products that are too heavy for heat styling.
