I bought 9-1-1Heat Protectant Cream! EVER USE IT?

After removing my braids Im going to:

1.) was my hair

2.) condition it

3.) then rinse it

4.) section my hair into 6 plaits & AIR DRY

5.) Apply light oil to my scald and ends

6.) The apply the 911 HEAT PROTECTANT & Flat iron

Is this thr right method, and has anyone ever used this heat protectant? Just curious.
I need other suggestions on HEAT protectants for my

Im doing the bun challenge right now so Im not using heat. But when I blowdried my hair w/ a comb attachment, I would use Silk Elements Glossing Polish.
