Why do you think it grows the most in this area?

Is it the amount of moisturizing? trimming? etc.?

Has anyone ever thought about which area of your hair gets shampooed or conditioned the most when you are shampooing or conditioning?
Do you think that can affect the area's growth?

My crown tends to have the most new growth when I feel around my hair and it hardly ever gets moisturized! Right now my sides are the longest due to uneven growth I think.

Vote and then answer the questions above if you want to:

I haven't a clue as to why, but the top and middle of my hair has always grown faster, as for the sides

forget it, they take forever! The back is slow too, I also felt the back today, there is definitely less re growth there.

My sides have always been short but thats because i started of with a short back and sides .. my hair at the crown is definately longer but not as thick .

Re: What Area of your Hair Grows the Most??? (Poll

When I was relaxed my crown used to grow fastest (or at least gain length faster). Now that I'm natural, my nape grows the fastest, followed by the sides. The front of my hair BARELY moves!!

The front, the nape and the crown....but my hair overall grows quickly, about an inch per month...the nape area doesnt retain length though

The middle of my hair grows the fastest, I have no idea why though.

Same here

Definitely the nape. The hair there is a little thicker strand diameter and also a bigger coil pattern. It breaks so much less than the rest of my hair. If only my whole head were like that.

My nape and temples grow faster and retain length better. Those areas are less dense and are very loosely curly. My crown and bangs are slow growers.

I really don't know but i know the sides grow the slowest, and barely ever grow, they're even a different texture.

Bangs, and sides. Left side of nape grows really slow.. Crown grows quickly but is one of the shortest areas due to differnent texture there..

For me it's the back with most growth...right side always had slow growth & thinner because I sleep on that side...trying to switch that up & alternate b/w sleeping on back and left side...it's helping...

My right side grows such fast and thick, the left side grows faster than the rest of my head, but the nape grows turtle slow.

The back (everything from below the crown to the nape) grows like weeds. I will have a mullet in a few months if I don't keep trimming it back. I guess it gets well protected by the crown area hair.
