@bajandoc86
Haaaay  happy to see another Jamaica based person on here

sorry I ordered everythign online

BUT if u live in kingston you can check Nettle and Moss (44 lady musgrave Rd- across from Eden Gardens) they have Kinky Kurly, Jane carter, I think I saw some shea moisture stuff there, jessy curl, giovanni, and lots more.

the owner said she wud be getting raw shea butter soon too and she's on a waiting list for Qhemet products:grin:

annnnnd if ur into ayurveda u can get henna, shikaai, amla vatika oil etc at house of spice in the Market Place on constant spring rd (if ur in Kingston)

can PM me if u looking for anything else, I'll b glad to help:yep:

I've tried a lot of things, expensive things, but it wasn't always worth it.
I hardly pay attention to price now, b/c most of it is cheap.

Now I'm using:

Co-wash - Suave (almond/Shea butter or aloe/ginseng) 2.97 each

Regular Wash - Giovanni Smooth as Silk Conditioner 9 and ACV 2

Leave in: Giovanni Direct Leave-In 7 (use before twist or puff), Aussie Hair Insurance 3.98 (use most frequently, even for rewetting) and, my favorite Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In 9 (use after washing or if I've been slacking and my hair feels super dry.

Pre-flat iron - Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy shampoo, conditioner and flat iron spray. Can't believe it myself since ain't nothing organic about it. 8.99 each

Grease or whatev: Jane Carter Nourish and Shine 19

That's about it for now. When I find aloe in my new hood, I'll buy a leaf for about 4 dollars.

I'll occassionally oil my hair with olive oil or jbco but I don't consider them staples b/c I'm not consistent.

I spend about 100 on staple products every 2 - 3 months.

Do you order your Silicon Mix tub? That's a good price: 60 ounces for $20. If so, where do you order it from?

Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner- I buy when on sale (every 6 months or so) and usually cost $13-15/liter when on sale. Regular price= $30/liter. Shampoo liter last 6 months. Conditioner liter last 1-1.5 months.

Alter Ego Nourish Leave in- $35/liter so I try to not use too much at once. A liter will last me about 3months.

Joico KPak Reconstructor- $4/1.7 oz. tube. I only use this on relaxer days so a 1.7 oz tube will last me 2 relaxers (6-8 months)

Alter Ego Linange Texturizer- $10/jar. The 16oz jar is usually enough for 1.5 applications. So 2 jars= 3 applications, and 1 year's worth of relaxer.

Joico MR Treatment Balm- $15 (with ulta coupon) /tube= 2-3 months

Year total: about $391/year
