I plan to continue transitioning, thinking about slowly trimming the relaxed portions away. Not sure yet what I want. I want to get settled into a consistent routine with my hair and life, as I am newly single... Ultimately, I hope to be BSL by June 2010, I am SL now after a wash-n-go... I haven't checked the length straight.

1) Stick with my regimens
2) Keep my hair mostly in braids
3) Reach APL by April
4) Reach BSL by September
5) Get at least 2 salon trims
6) Keep wrapping that head!!!
Some of my goals are rather unclear right now. I will probably know in January for sure after my 6 month stretch is over. I am considering the following: transitioning, continuing the stretch, or relaxing. And of course I want to maintain the length that I have gained and will gain. I also want to develop a more concrete regimen, because I'm still experimenting 7 months after a BC. Most importantly, I want my hair to reach its healthiest potential. Perhaps I will aim for BSL.
1. having another year of healthy hair care practices including low manipulation and protective styling;
2. reaching BSL by June of 2010; and
3. reaching MBL by Dec of 2010.
My current low manipulation regimen includes:
1. co-washing and deep conditioning only once each month;
2. keeping my hair french braided or bunned 97% of the time;
3. adding moisture and oil as needed; and
4. only combing on wash day.
My goals are to continue transitioning and to be either bsl or mbl by the time I graduate in June. Another goal is to limit using the flatiron to no more than once a month.
I believe I have scaled back my commercial hair products by 80% now and want to get them back another 5-10% for next year. The Joico K-Pak line and ayurveda haircare will stay in my regimen for now.
The main product brands I will use are Elucence, Jason Naturals, Avalon Organics, Beauty Without Cruelty/Alba Botanica leave-ins, Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier as a detangler/moisturizer, Mills Creek Keratin, Giovanni Smooth As Silk, and Nature's Gate Hemp Seed conditioner. I chose these products because they work wonderfully on my hair and except the Elucence, they are super cheap.
I like having a few choices. I will continue to relax with Mizani Butter Blends lye (mild) relaxer followed with the MBB neutralizing poo or the original Mizani Phormula 7 poo.
I plan on continuing my transition to texlaxed hair next year and maybe do a big chop by December of 2010 providing I have at least 9-10 inches of new growth by then. I want to start fresh sometime in 2011.
