What are you getting your bridesmaids?

I've been in some weddings where brides pay for dresses and others where we pay for our own. My cousin got married this year and had two attendants. She got each one of them a tote bag with their initials that were super cute. I was in one where a bride's parents paid for our hair...but I had to redo mine because the shop had no idea what to do with my curls....le sigh.

My next bridesmaid duty is over a year away and we just went and looked at dresses for the first time.....Already the bridesmaids are being separated into the ones who want to look nice and the ones who want to wear something to cover their fat......

I wanted to give my bridesmaid a good gift since she traveled all the way to the bahamas for me. I gave her a really nice purse.

I also gave her the gift of making sure things were on the more affordable end since we were traveling. I let her pick her own bridesmaid dress. My only rule was that it had to be purple and not silk. She ended up finding a really nice gown at the thrift store for $14. I also found great rates for an all-inclusive hotel and paid for half her hotel stay.

I have only been a bridesmaid once and she gave us:

Bidesmaid flipflops
Wristlet
She said she purchased items when she saw a good sale.

All of us travelled from out of town and she gave us all a hotel goodie basket with water, tissue, nuts, fruits, chocolate, etc that she made. She is very crafty.

I did a gift box for my bridesmaids to ask them to be a bridesmaid, but I only got them each earrings as a thank you.
