I am wondering this because I am going to go get a retouch. This will be my second relaxer since taking the plunge 6 weeks ago. Prior to that I was texlaxed.

How would I know if my hair was ever over processed?

Have you ever been overprocessed?

How do you treat overprocessed hair?

Extreme breakage! You would have long and short strands breaking off.

Yes!:perplexed

I didn't have the knowledge at the time to properly care for my hair, so I chopped it off.

Now, I would do a hardcore protein treatment.

There is a thread about correcting damaged hair. I will see if I can find it and bump it and post the link here.

I think that dcing plays a very important part in helping over processed hair. Also stretching relaxers.

Over-processed hair…

is dry at the ends

has split ends

is coarse after processing but it hasn’t always been that texture

has lots of rebellious fly-away or frizzy strands
