If I had known when I BC'd that I had the best opportunity to start fresh and grow my hair to great lengths, I would have paid more attention and who knows where I'd be now! Anyway, here's my BC (back in 2001) and you can see where I am now but this is after growing a whole SL worth of color out of my head from 2004-2007. Now I have no color and am trying to regain the health of my hair.

EL/NL+Challenging Thyroid Condition,16 months,T&E, and some Set Backs,patience and determination = APL+ for me. Had another set back will be back to APL in April/May`09. Don't give up !! Healthy hair should be 1st and foremost.Healthy hair will grow.

Ummm...excuse me, what the heck did you do in those 2 years?!?!? That is ridiculous progress.
This thread is great b/c I've been stuck at SL for going on a year now and it looks like I'm gonna need a trim again b/c I'm having some crazy breakage and split end problems right now. Why can't I just make it to APL?!?!

Actually, it was three years- all of 06, 07 and APL around Novermber of 08- so that's more realistic. I did what we hear all the time here, I kept my hair moisturized and hid my end. br0wney3z, many folks seem to struggle with SL, but really, it was easy- but I never exposed my ends. I just moisturized my hair, then folded the ends under and held them there with pins- so it looked like a neck-length bob. I did that week long. I occasionally added hair accessories. With that, I passed SL with no problems.
No growth aids, no fancy stuff. I just kept it simple. Now I'm basically BSL, but thinking of cutting- either to neck, SL or APL. Not sure yet, though.

I didn't go from EL to APL, but I went from SL to almost BSL in 8 months. I owe all my growth and retention to LCHF......and
my........and...
...I've learned how to be SWEET to my hair and it is paying off. OP your hair is beautiful NOW, enjoy it.
