Speaking to my husband the other about needing to go and buy some oil (either castor or coconut) for my hair. He then tells me, "You should try some amla oil, my mum's been using it for years!" Looks like I'm gonna have to conduct a family survey of hair products - however my former product-junkieness will not return :)

LOL!

When I first started on my HHJ, I was looking for coconut oil at the grocery store, and my mom was like, "Ah, we used to use that back in Barbados on our hair".

She never used it on my hair when I was a kid. I guess they thought hair grease was an improvement to oils..

Same here, my mum said back in Jamaica she used castor oil in her hair. What did I get? Dax!

Daughter that's cute/runny that your hubby pays attention to hair products. I don't think my hubby has a clue what's what. He does know shampoo though. :giggle: At least I can give him that. He uses it on his bald head. :look:

Nonie, he doesn't pay much attention at all (he's bald too!), he couldn't tell you what shampoo I use  It surprised me that he even remembered the amla oil! He does think I'm a little hair obsessed, even though I don't spend a great deal of time or money on my hair.
