Weekly/BiMonthly Flat Iron Update Pics, of course.

Okay, it's been a while since I updated all of you on my hair's health since I started weekly/bimonthly flat ironing. For the most part, my hair looks good, aside from the "split middles" I have been finding lately. Not sure it's related to the heat, because I had them even when I did a no-heat regimen last summer. I used the Ojon kit I bought on QVC, and the elasticity has returned and I'm seeing less breakage. I still interchange with L'occitane (my love) but I must say that the Ojon is making detangling even easier. The main problem is that every time I'm using protein I'm getting tangles, even with a moisturizing conditioner afterwards. I also recently got a trim--about .5 inch off, but it's still growing nicely. Still striving for APL...

Wow, i was natural a couple of times before and could never get my hair this straight. Looks healthy. Glad the Ojon is working for you.

Thanks! I wasn't able to until recently when I purchased a Paul Mitchell Ion Pro flat iron. It's all ceramic with silicon strips--it COMPLETELY seals the cuticle so it reflects light like crazy.

Your hair is beautiful.

I'm thinking about flatironning my hair for a length check photo. However I'm too lazy and I don't like wasting my time because with my thin hair my straight style only last a day or less.

I just need to get this protein thing down. I'm almost tempted not to use it at all! The tangles and hardness makes my hair snap right off. Here's another side view pic. You can see just how preggo I am in this one! 24 weeks today!

I kinda wish I would do this and have slick and sleek looking hair that doesn't fly away, poof at the sight of moisture, or have straight patches when I wash it out, despite almost SOAKING my hair in heat protectant! (Mini- rant over)
Airdrying suits my laziness anyway...
Your hair looks great by the way:lachen::lachen:

Congrats on your pregnancy! Your hair looks great sweetie! Do you mind me asking if you are still loving your PM flat iron? I am in the market for my first flat iron and remember your thread about it.

Hey, you're doing something right...you're BSL! Wish I could air dry w/o my hair snapping off all over the place!

Absolutely. The best. Investment. I have made in my hair. I HIGHLY recommend it. My hair has never looked better doing it myself. People think I go to the salon every week.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly! I am going to check Trade Secrets here in Memphis for it when I go the mall(later today or tomorrow).
