My first install cost me $300 total ($100 for hair and $200 for install). Then I found a soror who did my install for $50 so I was only spending $150 total.
I learned how to make my own u-shaped wigs so now it only costs me about $110 ($100 for hair and $10 for the supplies). Best thing I ever did was go on Youtube and learn to make my own sew-in wigs. They look more realistic and I can take it off and put it back on every night. I also don't have to worry about not taking care of the hair underneath because I can wash my hair as often as I like. Plus, the wig has been lasting me six months. So I'm spending a $100 a year on weave versus the $600 I was spending a year.
