Apparently there is such a thing as:....(wait for it).... Hair Theft Rings :perplexed AND its on the rise.

Watch here: Hide Yo Weave!! Post your comments below.

Personally, I'm shocked and not at the same time. I think for me it was a matter of "since when did weave get this deep"? I knew women were letting their lights get cut off, not feeding their babies and all that jazz but now we (and yes I mean we, people of color) are preforming HEISTS straight up HEISTS over some hair. Y'all (these people--not YOU all) need to get a grip, this is crazy.

I'm just glad I don't have a weave. Hope nobody decides to cut off my ponytail and run cuz I'd have to cut somebody LOL

I can't believe they brought a child with them to steal a wig. That storeowner wasn't playing. A five minute tussle over a wig...

Hmmm, going to prison over stealing hair?

I wonder how that ranks in the prison hierarchy.

"Yo, what are you in for? Murder? Burglary?"

"No, I stole some hair weave and got 20 years."

Selling stolen hair (assuming not all $100K is with one thief) probably does get a person way less prison time than selling drugs though. I bet selling $25K in stolen hair is nowhere near the same prison sentence as selling $25K in marijuana or cocaine.
