My hair went from beautiful twist out to clumpy-fro in less than five minutes once I stepped outside. I need a product that can hold my twist out style and work against the humidity of North Carolina. All suggestions except eco-styler are welcome :-)

For my twistouts I like:
*Goddess Curls Botanical gel
*Flaxseed gel (homemade)
*Cream of nature custard (only use alittle at a time)

You're going to become a PJ lol. Anyway my first time natural I swore by.

SSI Papaya Twist & Curl Defining Soufflé
and/or Kinky Curly Curling Custard depended on time of the year.

What if you used raw shea with nothing mixed in it. I think if you did this on damp hair it would seal in moisture and block out moisture from the air once dry and you probably wouldn't need to use alot.

Hey fellow PJ :hiya:
I'm also in the South (FL). I avoid glycerin or honey in my leave in conditioner or styler.

For hold I use one of the following:

Kinky-Curly Curling Custard
Shea Moisture JBCO Edge treatment gel
Shea Moisture 3 Butters Utility Gel-Mousse
Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Curl Defining Creme

My leave ins are:
Tressemmé Naturals Vibrantly Smooth, Nourishing Moisture or Radiant Volume conditioners
Tresemmé Expert Selection Perfectly (Un)Done conditioner
Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine conditioner
Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Extra Moisture Detangler
Oyin Handmade Hair Dew
Alaffia Everyday Shea Conditioner

I seal with one of the following:
Vatika Naturals enriched coconut oil
Ramtirth Brahmi oil (coconut-based)
Baiyddynath Mahabringraj (sesame-based)
Auromere Hair Conditioning oil (sesame-based)
Grapeseed, moringa or marula oils
Pure shea butter

I guess one PJ can always spot another one. ;-) I have at least one of the products in each category that you mentioned except I was not using them in that order. I was about to give away the Ojin Hair Dew but I will try it as a leave-in. Thanks for the advice and saving me $$$$.
