i wanna be part of one that's by the beginning of 2007?

Count me in... this will definitely be challenging! if i could get that illusive 1 inch per month it would be so much easier!

:clap: Anytime in 2007! Personally, If I can get there by Summer 2007, then I'm good! All you need to do is keep or establish an effective regime, Stick to it! And you can opt to chart your progress every once in a while to see if you're gonna be on schedule! Also, it will be cool to check back in and give tips to our fellow challengers!

I am soooooo DOWN fa da waistlength challenge 2007 :grin: ! I guess I' ll be there by the middle of 07! Who knows? But I'm sure we're gonna have so much fun growing! Waist length here I come baby :D !
 
This is a goal taht I could possibly reach the end of 2007. I am currently in the middle of one right now. But I will keep an eye on this one because this is a long term hair goal. Happy growing ladies!
 
Hey Girlfriend, add me in! I'm with the challenge and by 2007 in the Summer, my hair will (If God is willin') be on my waist, heeey!
 
I've been watchin this for awhile so yea I think I'm gonna join. I'm shoot for anytime in 2007 as long as my hair is waistlength. lol
 
Ladies, I am SO in! Let's do it!! Wait....maybe I will have to be in the mid-back by 2007 challenge!! Well anyways, Let's grow as much as we can by 2007! :grin:

Well, I already joined the one that was just started for naturals, but I need all the support I can get, so I'm jumping in on this one too. I'm gonna shoot for the beginning of 2007 to make it really a CHALLENGE for me.
I'll be taking progress pics next week so that'll be my starting point.
 
I wanna join!!! I think I will be waist length by the end of 2007! Hopefully I wont have any major set-backs!! Maybe I should open my Fotki account now :lol:
 
ok i just measured and my hair is at shoulder length now when stretched. ive got about 12 inches until im at WL when stretched. so if my hair grows at an average rate of 1/2 per month i can probably JUST squeeze by and succeed on this challenge.

I think I'm going to mix up the Crown & Glory technique with my own regimine. I will wear braids for 2 months and wear my hair out for two months.
This is going to be my regimine when my hair is NOT in braids:
DAILY
1)CW with Pantene R&N Conditioner
2)Apply Pantene R&N Wrap & Set Lotion
3)Apply Pantene R&N Oil Cream Moisturizer
4)Apply Fantasia IC Styling Gel

WEEKLY
1)Shampoo with Pantene Clarifying
2)Shampoo with Pantene R&N Shampoo
3)Deep condition with Pantene R&N Conditioner/Hot Sixx Oil (mixed together)

This is going to be my regimine when my hair is IN braids:
DAILY
1)Spray length of braids with moisturizing braid spray

WEEKLY
1)Shampoo scalp with Pantene R&N Shampoo
2)Spray braids with moisturizing braid spray

I'm also only going to use heat on my hair every 3-4 months for a straight look.
 
Wow, so many participants, yay! :D As for me, i'm shooting for the beginning of 2007.

i think that when i get a touch up in 2 weeks my hair will be 22.5" or 23"... hopefully 23... and I measured the length to my waist, and I would say that I'm 7 inches away (30") so that's a year's worth of growth, if there are no setbacks! :grin:

my hair grows at 0.6" to 2/3" a month, that's what it came out to when everytime i average my growth whenever i get a touch-up. I'd LOVE to get 3/4", that way, i would gain 9 inches/year... so if i had a setback it wouldn't be too bad, but let's be POSITIVE :)

i'll update my album in a couple of weeks to show my length *crossing fingers*
My regimen is in the "WELCOME" section of my fokti. I just updated my products and there are some things listed in my regimen that I don't even do, but will throw in from time to time, like the massage and i need to actually do Aphogee treatments every 6 weeks, i haven't done one in months and my hair is getting weak right now.

So, a year from now, in August, before my freshman year in college, i'd like to be at my goal or a couple inches from it. Good luck ladies!!! :)
 
I get confused with these challenges. Is it just merely to sign up? Are there rules? Are there specific guidelines we should follow to nurture our hair in order to get waist length by 2007? Fill me in. I always read about the challenges and I look to see if anyone is doing anything specific and writing it or recording it...but all I see is a 'check in.' For someone like me, because I'm new to ALL of this, it'd be great to have some guidelines to follow. But then again, I guess I'm a bit anal. :lol:
