Using Regular Silicon Mix as a Leave In

Heya ladies

I was out of my normal leave in so I used just a small dab of regular Silicon Mix as a leave in.

The results are the softest swingiest silkiest hair I've had in months. It feels so MOIST and no breakage!

I dried under my hood dryer without heat and then flat ironed. I used a lil Shealoe for extra moisture.

My hair feels INCREDIBLE and smells so good.

Has anyone else done this?

Girl, I love Silicon Mix too!!! It always leaves my hair super shiny and silky. I personally think it's better than Lacio Lacio which is so overrated!!

Is this something that has to be mixed or bought premixed, used on natural hair when pressed and can it be purchased at Sallys and if so under what name? thanks in advance.

I have been doing this for 3 weeks now. I mix the silicon mix with a deep moisturizing mane and tail leave in conditioner. I do it 2x a week and I have never had my hair so moist or soft. I usually apply both, put on a plastic cap, and just do like regular things around the house for two hours. (i hate sitting under a dryer) afterwards I wash it out and moisturize with ORS moisturizing cream. Its the best thing I have ever done for my hair.

Bumping...

I am curious about this too. I know that Silicon Mix makes a leave-in, but OP is using the regular conditioner as a leave-in. I'm thinking about trying it myself because I LOVE me some Silicon Mix... Has anyone else used it this way?

I don't why it should be a problem. When I have run out of leave in I have just used a little of my regular conditioner and it works just fine. It makes me wonder if I should even be paying for a "leave in".

I have used silicon mix this way as well. It really does keep your hair moist. I just added a little to my hair, sealed with coconut and castor oil and air dried. :yep:

Girl, I say "yes." If it works for you then do it. I use Suave Humectress Conditoner as a leave-in moisturizer. I have been raving about it for so long but soooo many people sleep on this. It even says on the bottle, "Moisturizes as well or better than Nexxus Humectress".

I am 99.9% sure it won't harm your hair.:yep:

I'm a Silicon Mix Intensive Treatment/ Suave Humectant Fiend...
I use them in my baggy at night and on my ends
during the day in my bun/pin-up...
if ya'll still sleeping on these products...
 wake up!!! you don't know what you're missing!!

I love Silicon Mix conditioner also never thought of using it as a leave in because I have the Silicon Mix leave in conditioner that I mix with Lacio Lacio.
