using hand cream/lotion on hair?

wow! all of these replies! thank you ladies for commenting! Next time I am at the store I will try to scope out something natural to try. @Your Cheeziness yeah I had never heard about anyone doing this before either!!! I had just always been curious about it.

I've used sunscreen in my hair MANY times when headed to the beach.

I'd be weary of those scented/perfume lotions. If it's meant to hydrate your skin, it could hydrate your hair too. It's all in how these products are marketed to you. But if the ingredients are in essence the same thing, why should I feel more comfortable using a cream just because Johnson & Johnson put the word HAIR on the bottle? If a scientist would tell me it's all the same $hit, then who cares?
