This only happens to me when I get too fancy and put too many different products in my hair....for instance, IC Sparklites + creamy leave-in. When I use it alone, it's great. Maybe you're using too much product....I've learned that more is not necessarily better.

IC Fatasia has serious sharing issues, I think it's an only child. If I ever mix it with anything - White crap lol

I use MNT Moisturiser Texturiser conditioner - the yellow one. After I rinse out the cowash, I get loads and slather it over my hair then rinse out about half of it and then dry it. If I use it on damp hair or don't rinse it a bit I get white crap no matter how little I use. I used to use butters but they just made my hair greasy and not moisturised, I then switched to Elasta QP Recovery moisturiser but obvioulsy you gotta rub that in and that causes frizzies, so now I'm just using the MNT and that's it. The less I use the more moisturised my hair feels.

i was thinking of trying aubrey organics honeysuckle rose conditioner
along with some vegetable glycerin added - and trying that as a leave-in

have any of you used the honeysuckle rose as a leave-in?

i've never used the conditioner AT ALL...so i'm hoping it works for me. my hair does well with glycerin...i know that (s-curl really moisturizes my hair, but i'm trying to go more natural as far as products go)

i have tried any butters
although i've been thinking about it

i love aubreys, especially the hsr but i didn't like it as a leave-in. i used anywhere btween a couple tsps to a tbsp of product and diluted in 8 oz of water.

what i did love was using the [SIZE=-1]Jojoba & Aloe Desert Herb Revitalizing Conditioner - same ratio as the hsr.

i also use vo5 and nature's gate with great success (all with a little glycerin and some essential oils).

be sure to dilute your conditioners, especially the aubrey's. i think they are too concentrated to use alone.

I have successfully used IC Fantasia over Aveda Elixir, Abba Nourishing, Elucence MBC and Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in. Be careful about how of the leave-in you use, emulsify it in your hands prior to applying it and make sure the leave-in has been absorbed PRIOR to applying the gel. Works for me every time.

As far as absorption of creamy leave-ins...if you don't want to disturb your curl pattern after you co-wash, you could create a spritz with water and your creamy leave-in to assist with distribution.

I am a major fan of butters (I mostly use a butter based on peachtree's recipe), but I am going to try advocado butter as well.

I too apply my leave-in (in the form of a spritz usually) and then a light oil to seal or moisturizing hair jelly (Aubrey Orgranics Mandarin Magic Jelly) to seal and set in the summer and use butter on my ends during the week. In the winter, butters are king.

thank you for your tips!
i was actually thinking i might have to dilute it if i decided to try it as a leave-in.

I started using Humectress on my ends and I really like it. I also use (and love) Qhemet Amla & Olive cream w/wild growth hair oil for my ends. Humectress is good all over without adding excessive weight.

I finally figured out (after 3 years of being natural) that my hair likes a leave in and butters. So I've been using Giovanni Direct and my own mix of avocado & shea butters w/ a little aloe vera gel. This is the best my hair has felt yet.

At the moment I like Karen's Body Beautiful Hair Butter, but over a liquid leave-in I made myself (a mix of VO5 conditioner, braid spray, sweet almond oil and glycerine). It works really well for me, and it doesn't build up and isn't greasy either.

OT: Bmore, I love you hair in your siggy!!!!!!! It's really beautiful!!!! :yep:
