Hey y'all !

I love using Origins Rich Rewards condish as a leave-in. My hair stays supple and moisturised. I wanna soon invest in Jessicurl Weekly Deep treatment and try it as a leave-in. But I suppose I'm worried about the long term effects?

Effects to my ends in particular!

Hope u guys can give a lil input :)

Using regular conditioner didn't work for me. It made my scalp itchy and my hair was always crunchy the first day. I do use Giovanni Direct Leave In and it works well for me. :yep:

I think just be careful not to be too heavy handed with the product and ensure you clarify regularly to keep build up at bay.

I have the jessicurl wdt and it can be used as a leave in, but a small amount will do you it is very moisturizing. I also have the too shea and that is lighter and good for me as a leave in. These leave my hair really soft but i have to balance it out with protein or ill get mushy hair. I hope others chime in, alot of ladies use conditioners as moisturizers and leave ins.

I did this for months and months when I was co washing daily and loved it. Using a regular con as a leave in helped my nape tremendously. It also helped keep the newgrowth in check :)

I agree. It's best to use something specifically labeled as a Leave-In (as opposed to just a regular conditioner). I've found several good ones that leave your hair extemely moisturized. One by Beauty w/o Cruelty and one by AO. I have Salerm too. Since my hair is so dry/damaged, I tend to prefer one that is Creamy w/alot of Natual ingredients instead of the waterbased spray. I read alot of Ladies like the Giovanni Direct Leave In. It made my dry hair tangled and stiff so I returned it. I think for me, and the current condition of my Hair, creamy is the way to go.

I really love using my cheapie cons as a leave in. Right now I'm on the VO5 Moisture Milks, and Suave Coconut. They smell great, they're cheap, they're thin and easy to dilute so you don't end up with too much product build up and your hair can still shine.

I think the trick is to seal with an oil or serum after applying the conditioner in order to keep it from drying crunchy. That will keep the moisture in, instead of allowing it all the evaporate and leave you with the crunchy conditioner residue.

I use a conditioner as one of the main ingredients in my hair butter - I think mixing it with the other butters cuts the oiliness of the butters, and the butters eliminate the crunchiness of the conditioner. I've not had any issues (including build-up related ones, as I use a cone-free conditioner) with doing this, and I've been doing it for a good little while, too.

That's a great tip. I always apply serum after my leave in and never have crunchy hair

Everytime I wash I make sure to leave a little Aubreys Organic Honeysuckle Rose conditioner in my hair... I just make sure I rub my scalp good to get any conditioner off my scalp and just leave the remainder on my hair. I love it.

It gives me soft flexible hold for styling too. :yep:
I can't use gel for the life of me, but the combo of con and serum make my hair dry soft, shiny, but controlled.

See I tried that and my hair went crazy. My natural hair doesn't like oils though. I tried 3 or 4 mixes before throwing in the towel.

i love using giovanni deeper moisture conditioner as a leave in. its very moisturizing and all natural so i dont see a problem. i didnt like giovanni direct leave in but the deeper moisture is amazing. i used to use devacurl onecondition as a leave in too and didnt come into any issues with it. over top of the deeper moisture i still use my curls milkshake or karens body beautiful.

every time I've used conditioner as a leave in , I had white residue and itchiness. Maybe I did it wrong.
