Urgent Aphogee question

You leave it in for 15 minutes (under a hooded dryer) or until your hair is hard to the touch. Remember, do not manipulate your hair in any way. This is the best way to use it...
While in the shower and ur hair is straight back (and detangled) pour it on your head and gently rub it in. Take the ends of your hair and pull it up and clip it to the crown part of your hair. DO NOT USE A PLASTIC CAP. Put a towel or something on your shoulder (or keep some papertowels handy b/c this stuff drips) and let it harden. Get back into the shower, remove the clip and let the water cascade thru your hair WITHOUT manipulating it in any way. DONT USE A COMB. Once it's been rinsed clean, apply the balancing moisturizer ALONG with a moisturizing conditioner. Follow your regular routine.
You are talking about the one that smells like a skunk died rite?
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
Do you have the aphogee balancing moisturizer AND a moisturizing conditioner to use afterwards? If not, DO NOT use the reconstructor.

You can if you want too. I put the bal mois on first, massage it in then i slater on my humecto and comb it thru. I leave it in 4 at least 15 mins (although u only need 2 leave it in for 5) and rinse out.

I'd also rec. that you keep the dryer on the lowest setting so that your hair isn't agitated. In other words you want zero movement of your hair from dryer's air. Good luck.

Ok, I've done it, it seems to be alright. I'll have to see if the breakage has stopped over the next few days. Is it supposed to stop instantly?

Instantly meaning after you finish no... but u will notice the difference by 2morrow. Definately

I never knew that you were supposed to use the balancing moisturizer.. I've just used a moisturizing conditioner.. like NT's Mega Moisture or Butter Treat..I have kept them on for like an hour..half of that with heat.. but I've only done it once. Is that bad for my hair that I didn't use the balancing moisturizer??

Thanks!

No... it's not bad at all. Sorry to give u such a scare... i used it once W/O the bal mois and my hair was a strawlike mess

Usually, for me at least, the balancing moisturizer is not enuf... i always need my mois conditioner to give my hair back it's softness.

If your hair felt fine after you washed the balancer out then ur okay. My hair, unfortunately, felt stank immediately so i knew i needed that balancer. I tried to comb my hair and i could hear my hair

Is this stuff as good as Emergencee or Kpak?

[/ QUOTE ]

IMO, it's better then everything. Kpak comes next... always hated emergencee

I have never used the balancing conditioner after doing an Aphogee treatment. I just wash it out and use any moisturizing conditioner I have. I have not had any problems.

CH,

What kind of clip can u use to pin your hair up under the dryer? plastic, metal? does it matter?

Thanks!

I believe it doesn't matter (at least for me it doesn't). As long as it's not one of those clips that snag. I use that clip that looks like a animal trap (im sorry, i don't know what its called
