Well, I'm going to need to use a pass for the Bootcamp because I had my hair blow dried and flat ironed last night. It's my birthday weekend and I wanted to do something different with my hair. I went to see the best LHCF stylist in Atlanta, Balisi, and she took great care of me and my hair.

After triple conditioning my hair, she blowed it dry then proceeded to flat iron it - all the while making sure I couldn't see myself in the mirror. I was pleasantly surprised when she finally revealed the finished product!

My hair is so soft and silky plus it is in much better condition than it ever was while relaxed. She said I had no split ends nor dry ends!

If you live in the Atlanta area, please don't sleep on Balisi's great skills nor the great prices at Hair Cuttery. Whereas some salons in Atlanta charge $75 and up for the same service, I only paid $31 (not including tip)!

I cannot believe it's only been six months since you did the BC. It seems like forever since we last had lunch and look at you now! You have got some great growth going on...makes me kinda wanna do the natural thing now. It's all pretty and silky looking. Keep up the great work. :)

:Flahsssss What in the world!!! WWOOOWWW
Amazing progress! :bouncegre
I must be  or :guiness: b/c your hair grew mighty fast :D

How many inches are you rockin now?
Major Congratulations
:Flahsssss

Scuse me while I go stalk a certain album :D

Wow, you've had amazing growth in six months and your hair looks great. Makes me want to run out and get flat-ironed, something I haven't done since I started transitioning. Whatever you're doing, keep it up!

Thanks ladies for all the wonderful comments!

I don't know how many inches because I'm not really sure how to go about doing that measurement. My hair is growing in layers so closer to the nape is longer than the crown area and the sides (need to up my Boundless Tresses usage in that area).

This was the first time I've use heat (blow drying or flat iron) since last Summer so I didn't have a clue that it had grown so much in the last 6 months.

My SO was shocked as well and unfortunately, I'm going to have to break his heart when I start rocking my natural curly fro, twists, etc in the next week or so. He loves my hair straight but I don't intend to do this again until my 1 year nappiversary in August.

Your hair looks GREAT and you are very pretty too! Makes me want to fly down to ATL and see Balisi. I'll be one year natural next month and I'm kinda itchin' to see how long my hair is. How long did you transition before bc'ing?

Thanks for all the beautiful, encouraging words! I've learned a lot since joining the board a little over a year ago!

I originally planned to transition for a year but I could no longer take the "fight" that was occurring between the two textures so I had Balisi cut it after 8 months.

I really think my hair is growing much faster now that it's all naturale!
