Well I just relaxed after a 5-6 month stretch! I was paying a lot of attention to the new growth and line of demarcation, and not enough attention to my ends. So I had to get a 1-1/2" trim to get rid of splits!! :( boo!! pretty much sacrificing most of my growth!!

Here is a glance of my journey since '07, just to give you a little background!

December 2007: Almost at APL!

June 2008: SETBACK! My nape is gone, from a bad sew-in weave application. Should have done it myself!

July 2008: To ear length I go!! New Cut!

January 2009: Neck Length finally!

September 2008 to September 2009: Went through a lot of trials and tribulations. Trying to figure out the best way to care for my hair and do it without using heat DAILY!!

March 24, 2010: Relaxed after a 6 month stretch and 1-1/2" trim.

Well that was my journey, this year I will be focused 100% on hair care. No more messing around, I WILL reach APL this year hopefully by December!!

Your still looks good, even if you had to trim some off.
I could only wish to stretch that long...what did you do to make the process easier?
I swear the longest I can go is about 3 months.

great growth. I just had to cut away a few inches last week because of a hair set back that I didn't think I would recover from. I'm with you on the journey to APL:yep:

Your hair has definitely gained thickness since you've started your journey. It looks so healthy. You'll bounce back from your setback.

I just relaxed and trimmed as well. I tried for six months but at about twelve weeks I couldn't take it anymore. lol! And there's nothing like freshly trimmed ends.

Looking good, but your hair also looks great with the short cut. Very pretty.

Thanks ladies. The only thing I could do to make it easier to stretch was actually keeping it straight, the two textures are so different it made it hard for me to comb through without breakage. For a while I did a sew-in (myself this time) and I actually wore 3/4 wigs at around the 5-6 month mark.

Thanks for the love again!
