Okay

I did my first self relaxer after a 4 month stretch. I did an okay job for my fisrt time but the crown of my hair is under process.

I usually get a perm every 12 weeks but was thinking about doing a corrective/touchup in 8 weeks.

My question is would it be too much on my hair if i rollerset and flat iron the roots once a week for the next 8 weeks?

I plan to wash and dc weekly and will probably do a mild protein treatment once a month.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

...bumping for ya...

I underprocessed my hair as well when I touched up last month. :(

I underprocessed too, but I can't press my roots weekly too much for me. I blow out my roots though; I will just have to deal with the fuzzy roots until its time for my next touch up

IMO - I think you would fine to FI roots only 1 a week. Keep the heat at the lowest setting to straighten the roots and make sure you use a heat protectant. Lots of people do this on the board.

Try it and see how it goes. What works for one person may not work for another
