Has anyone tried Ultra Sheen Cream Press! I purchased some today for about 2 bucks and was wondering if anyone had good results...I will try this next week! Thanks for your help!

My hair is very curly like yours. I used this to flatiron my hair and it came out very straight, if a bit sticky. You can see the results in my fotki.

just dont expect any bounce when its straight. although my hair was damaged(from color) when i did use it...

All I want to know is where you find it for 2 bucks. I paid about 5 or 6 bucks for mine at Sally's. It will really help get the hair straight. I really like it.

I tried it once--I'm relaxed though and my hair was greasy and looked very flat and plastered to my head.---It was too heavy for me. It may do better since you are natural though.

Love it! For those that said it was greasy or sticky, you should only use a little. It goes a long way. It makes my hair feel silky and gets it pretty straight. I especially use it when I am a few months post relaxer. Just use a little and you will like your results.

I grew up getting the hard press with it. My hair would stay straight for 2 weeks. It is very greasy, though. I would suggest not being too heavyhanded with it because your hair will be really weighed down. My hairdresser would apply it after washing my hair then comb it out and put me under the dryer.

I got it at a local BSS. Its not the big one, its the small size jar! I do believe the big one is 5 bucks. So did you apply it to wet hair or dry hair?

This stuff is good. It can be heavy and greasy if you use it on dry hair. I think the key is to use it on wet hair and then either dry it or let it air dry.

:bump:

When I was a kid (i.e when we had President Jimmy Carter) this was what was used on my mid-back length hair. I'm trying it again this weekend.

Steps that worked then: Put on hair while it's wet, use sparingly. Press once the hair is fully dry. **As a teen every time I tried to use this on already dry hair my fine/thin stranded hair was weighted down or felt extremely greasy.

.....I'm wondering how this will do as part of a twist out.....to be pressed later.
