Depending upon long term use results, I may like this stuff.

On the hands, it feels like a greaseless lotion. The hands are very soft. On the hair, it is initially feeling smooth.

I reserve my opinion, however, because you never know if the product will end up being drying later on.

In the box insert, Cathy wants the buyers of her products to contact Sally's to get the products in stores. I would love to buy her products in the store but people are not going to pay $10-15.00 for a product unless it will make their hair grow miraculously in 3 days.

WEll if she can get it through Sally's she may be able to drop the price. Plus no S & H.. I'd be siked.

I saw two girls snatching the last bottles of WGO and that's $7

Yep. Got mine today too. This is what I thought about the product.

The Lotion has a mayonnaise like appearance and consistency. Its very thick. And fragrance free. Here are the ingredients:

Purified Water, Olive Oil, 1-Octadecano, Cetrimonium Bromide, di-Panthenol, Allantoin, Lecithin, Dimethicon Copolyol, Methylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, Propylparaben, Retinol and Tocopherol.

The directions say that this product can be applied to wet hair or used for daily maintenance (dry hair). It also says its great for natural, pressed or chemically treated hair.

Well, I smoothed a nickel size amount onto the outer layer of my hair. And.....oh my!! It feels silkyyyyy and moisturized. My hair does not feel hard at all or caky. There is somewhat of an oiliness to it, but the moisture (water) compliments it well. I put another nickel sized amount on my ends. Again, that same silkiness. But the real test is my edges around my ears which is 4b (or 5b if there was such a thing--very hard to relax texture.) This stuff softened that area right up. I don't know, ya'll. WGO might have to work a little harder on the smell cause this stuff makes your hair just as soft, is cheaper, has moisture in it and all without the loud smell.

I hope this is the daily moisturizer I have been looking for. But like Bett1e said, the true test is how well it holds in the next couple of days. I'll let you know . . .

I came home from lunch from work today and was so happy to see a little box sitting next to my door!! I immediately went into the house, took down my bun, and put this stuff on my hair.

I really like it!! Not greasy at all, but very moisturizing. I want to wash my hair and flat iron it to really put it to the test.

Tebby

My hair is super nappy because I let it airdry. I used half of the bottle already - it seems like some good stuff but $12.00 is too much. Anyway, I am very tempted to flat iron just to see what the hair will be like after heat application.

I let my hair airdry too. I really need to set it on rollers now because I haven't relaxed my hair since June and I'm dealing with the two different textures. Anyway, I just combed my hair (major hair came out in the comb, BTW) and applied the Cream Moisturizer. Immediately, my hair was moisturized. I can see why she claims this helps you to extend time between relaxers or go chemical free altogether.

I do have one regret though..I wish I had gotten the bigger bottle....I got the 8oz.

I'll definately will be buying more of this product. BTW, I put my hair into 2 braids and put the plastic cap and scarf on. I can't wait to see how this works together.

Tebby

The hair does feel smooth. I have really coarse hair though so I don't think anything will extend my relaxer. I like the fact that it moisturizes without being greasy. I too should have gotten a bigger bottle. If she took this down to $4.99 and put it at Sally's, she would make a killing.

I think so too. Cathy needs to think of a bigger marketing plan...her conditioner is great, as is the moisturizer. I haven't tried the dew though. I think she has really good products and she would have a lot of success selling them if she put them into mainstream BSS and drugstores.

Tebby

She is in the process of trying to get them in Sally's. However, she needs a marketing person. For example:

100,000 at $12.00 a bottle = 1.2M

1M at 4.99 = $4.9 M minus the store's cut (approximately 10%) = $4.5M

That would be a good idea.. I think though there are products "commercial" like Kearacare, Mizani, etc though that are'nt available in store, just through distributors and Beauticians and I wonder why.

Is there some benefit to this?

Maybe it still allows the makers of the product to make more of a profit. You know the supply/demand theory?

Well, all I can say is that I litterally LOVE this stuff more and more by the minute. When I took my shower cap off this morning my hair was very moist, silky, and shiny without any oily feel.

Tebby

I got my UBH Creme Moisturizer yesterday. I proceeded to wash deep condition and use the creme moisturizer...my results were shiny, bouncy,non-greasy gorgeous hair..I woke up this morning and my results were shiny bouncy non-greasy gorgeous hair. Personally, I find her creme moisturizer to be unlike any I have ever tried before I will continue to order this product regardless of the price it is by far better than Mizani's Rose H20 which I paid $15.00 for from a regular korean bss, the smell of it nearly knocked me out. I am giving her a standing ovation for this product it is just what I have been looking for. :
wink.gif

WOW, you guys are REALLY making me want to try this product!!

I will wait a couple of weeks though, and see if the raves continue...
smile.gif
Would you say this moisturizer would be a good substitute for Mango Butter?? I'm almost out of that and I am looking to try something different.

Yeah, and we all buy Humecto at 12 bucks a pop, I never tried the Mizani though. I pay 18 bucks for the coconut oil I use, now I think that's ridiculous, but I like it, it works I don't mind.

I don't use a ton of products I just have my staples so I make sure their top quality.

People like Howse and Gray don't have the marketing teams or the funds like the big commerical companies do and they definitey can't take big cost cuts. They imo are more justified charging what they do, than the big guys. The big guys are makeing a bang up biz.

But I think if they keep at it, they'll get there..

Now, About that $12, can a sista, get a loan LOL

My husband is severely punishing me took my cards til Nov 15, when he says I may begin Christmas Shopping. Since I jsut orderd Dew and Cond he thinks I don't "need" the moisturizer right now. Says he's tried of seeing boxes at the door (my online shopping is out of control) BUT.... I just want this one more thing
scratchchin.gif
Hmm, what to do , what to do...

You know I handle the bills for six months and the he does for six months we NEVER have money left when I do it but he always comes out on top.

I think I'm gonna start goin to church with my hair busted up and when he says something.

FORK OVER THE CREDIT CARD, I NEED STUFF......
grin.gif

I don't use Mango Butter. A lot of the products people talk about on the board or too heavy for my hair. My hair is already coarse and hard to manage; I can't stand heavy products on it.

This product is light, non-greasy and not heavy.

Like someone else said, I likely will continue to order it but BLACK FOLKS are not going to pay $12.00 in the beauty supply for moisturizer (unless they have a lot more disposable income). For instance, I'll pay whatever price on the internet or through the mail, but if it costs over $5.00 in the store, I'm like "WTF?" and move on.

Girl, don't go to church and have them take up a collection for you...

"Brothas and sistas in Christ....today were going to take up a collection for Sistah Mindymouse. Her husband won't let her buy NOTHING and her hair needs Jesus! Let's bow our heads in prayer in preparation of the offering.

Oh, Lawd, in the name of Jesus, please help this sister!! Lawd we fear her hair might snap back and break!! Have mercy on her, Lawd, and move her husband to release the credit cards back to our beloved sistah. In the meantime, we ask that this offering will be a blessing to her to get her moisturizer. We're expecting a miracle lawd....not $12, but $26 so she can get the 32 oz. Thank you, Jesus...Amen!!"

Let's not forget that we would rather BUY HAIR than HAIR PRODUCTS!! There's a beautiful teenaged girl who goes to the community center that I volunteer at. She does her own perms and weaves (which look very nice BTW) but she told me she would NEVER be without tracks or braids because she's bald and doesn't care as long as she can buy hair. Mind you, this girl wants to be a hairdresser.

That's sad did you tell her if she took better care of her hair she could get it to grow long and healthy? Think of the money she'd save on weave hair?

I tried telling her but she didn't care. You know how 17 year olds think they know EVERYTHANG!! I took my hair out of my bun and she was amazed...I told her her hair could be long and thick too, but she had to stop putting glue in her hair and protect it.

Tebby

Of course I was joking, but remember, prayer changes things. Show this to your hubby and see what he says. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't breakdown and give you back your credit card.

Tebby, You have said a mouthful there... Rather than spending the money to take care of there OWN hair they will buy weave, which ain't cheap buy no means they pay that 18-20 without battin an eyelash.

That's kinda mixed up, but hey that's them. Someone really does need to educate our sista's.

I ordered mine last week and got it yesterday. I just kinda tossed the box to the side cause September the product junkie in me overdosed, big time!

I was a bit angry at myself after spending so much $$$ on stuff that didn't work.

Needless to say, this morning I used Cathy's moisturizer and felt that I FINALLY found my holy grail (I say this with caution as we all know how products quit working as well as they do at first).

Anyway, besides my hair lovin' it, my two daughters' hair loves it, too. We all have different hair textures (mine:2B/C w/some 3A, my older daughter: 3A and the baby: 3C). So, for me I am really excited to find something that works for all of us!
grin.gif
I also like that the moisturizer not only gives shine to our hair, but makes it silkier and DETANGLED. Our hair ranges from bra strap to waist length and "mommy's" arms get so tired combing out hair that gets so easily tangled.

I just hope this product continues to work cause if it does Cathy will have a customer for life!

Okay, I'm adding UBH Creme Moisturizer to my 'Try It' list.
