Type of wigs? Type of dye?

I have decided to go the wig route. I was just wondering what brand is best. Also, I have such a weird hair color that if I decide on a half wig is it okay to dye my hair black? I heard that dying your hair is not good for your hair, so hat dye would you all recomend?

The wig brand is really all on you. I know from trial and error and recommendations. Personally I like the Vanessa wigs and Motown Tress.
