How in the heck are you wearing your hair now that it's getting COLD!! I mean I'm in Mississippi and I can go only so long with these spaghetti strap shirts with a jacket over them LOOOL! My buns look a mess because a my hair is in layers b. it's too short in my opinion c. it doesn't look full. I'm tryna stray away from braids cuz they were comething serious last time! I STILL look like boo boo the foo around the edges.

How r u wearing your hair?

Bunning while I wait on my lace front! I haven't really down anything special now that it is cold. No more braidouts or twistouts.

I'm getting lazy!!!!

I'm doing buns and up do's. If you don't think your hair is full enough for a bun by itself, have you tried using a filler? Sally sells the sponge donut for buns, I used it in the past, I would just roll a silky knee high around the sponge so prevent my hair from drying out.

I'm wearing larger individual braids (pinky-sized), and will continue to redo them until next april/june, if not longer, but definately for winter.

I think those donuts are so out of style, but I saw another girl with one the other day....I think I could make that thing have a friggin comeback lol

Hey girl :hiya2:

I'm in MS, and I've been wearing my hair in buns, braid-outs, rollersets, and my absolute fave, carusos (steam rollers).

You can do so much with them and even if I don't wear my hair down while it's curly, I'll pin them up.

When I BC, I will be doing my wash n go at night and baggy over night. The next day, My hair should be near dry. I'll just add a smige of moisturizer and call it a go. I'm also going to be wearing some wigs when it is super cold until I can protective style it myself.

It's funny u did this thread. I was out last night here n GA & it was pretty nifty. I saw a lady from the side & I was like wow she has some long hair (about BSL/MBLish) but as I was driving by I saw her ends & they were rough looking & she had on a wool coat.

I really wanted 2 stop her & warn her about having her hair rubbing against that coat & any other abrasive material but I resisted the urge. I think some1 posted on here that they place a silk scarf around the outside of their coats so that their hair isn't rubbing on the coat itself.

I've been wearing a rollerset for the past few days. I pin-curl it up at night to keep it curly. My hair is SL, but with the RS, it looks like a short bob.

MINE TOO! If I don't use the big rollers, I look a HAM It just curls under and looks short short. Right now I'm wearing a lot of banana clips but I really need to find something to protect my ends from this cold weather

I use coconut oil on my hair and ends. You know how it'll 'react' when it gets cold. I really just don't like the 'feel' of my hair when it gets cold.

As much as I love to wear my hair down, I'm going to try to keep it pinned up as much as possible. I tried wearing my hair down all last week and my ends got soooo dry. I was thinking that buns were so out of style, but I observed people at school & a lot of the ladies with the longest hair have been keeping their hair up now that it has gotten cold & we are wearing jackets every day.
