Hey thanks for the warm invite guys... you all are so kind
- I use the dominican brand of the tropical cond.

Do you remember who you talked to I couldn't remember the man's name.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't get the man's name, I know he has a deep accent, thats about it.

I have both versions and the Dominican one is far superior to the Venezuelan one. It's thicker, feels slicker and smoother and even smells better and has a darker color. Weird, because the ingredients are the same. /images/graemlins/confused.gif Maybe this is where they get into trouble with FDA over labeling...

[/ QUOTE ]
I also have the Dominican one. I remember BlkMane posting that the Venezuelan one wasn't as good as the Dominican one.

Thanks Lala for posting the name of those beauty supply shoppes. i haven't been to the one 3rd avenue in eons. i bet they are still much cheaper than the ones i shop at now /images/graemlins/smile.gif

That's the same man I spoke to. He does have an accent, but he is not of Latin descent. I can't remember his name.

Okay I have a question. What is this stuff supossed to look like? I have two jars here nad not sure which one is the correct one---
-one is a creamy green color and the other one is more of a dark green color.

What does yours look like?

Look at blkmane's pics on picturetrail. She has pics of her fav products. I use the same one she's using.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. What I was actually referring to was the color of the actual product inside the jar...not the jar itself.

Hmmm, I looking inside now. It's green, it's a light green, maybe a sea green? /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif I'm not sure. It's lighter than NACIDIT Aceite de Oliva conditioner. The consistency is thick and kinda shiny. I'm not quite sure how else to describe it. What color is the one that you have?

[/ QUOTE ]

Okay--I have two jars--one is a dark green and the other looks more like a sea green but I don;t think it is shiny. I have a 3rd jar that I bought a while ago but it is also a dark green.

I have been opening jars of these conditioners for a long time. I've seen many varying consistencies but this is the first time I ever saw the light green color.

I am so /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Ummm...okay.... /images/graemlins/look.gif

Where are the rest of the Tropical Avocado users?

Is everyone else's the same color as Lala described?

Lala and Divine: Yall are ok. My jar is green and the product itself is the color of the jar. The consistency of the product is like a gel, only the color is green. Lala is right it is shiney and works like a gem /images/graemlins/grin.gif

As soon as my bf wakes up I will get my bf to take a pic because I have three jars.....two are a darker green and one is a lighter green so comparing the conditioner to the color of the jar isn't really helping me..... /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Okkayyyyyyyyyy... Are they from the DR? I don't know what's going on chica? I bet if I was to show you mine, then that'll make 4 jars with different colors. Maybe they added more dye in the two than the other? For me, the real test is if it gives that moisture and slip to my hair that no other product has been able to do on that level.

the one i got was ninja turtle green. like grass. i bought at duane reade i believe in nyc. it was the same ninja turtle dark green color as the container it came in. God bless you all.

I understand your confusion; I suffer from the same symptoms. You have so many conditioners that you don't know which one to choose. So many choices. You’ve been looking at them so hard and long that they all just look green huh? /images/graemlins/confused.gif I think the shiny lookin' one is your best bet. I don't know about the others.

They are all from the DR. I guess maybe I'll just have to guess on it. I wasn't really impressed the first time I tried it but I was wondering if maybe that had something to do with it.

You make an excellent point. Maybe they just need to be more exact and consistent in their formulations. Thanks.

Okay........fine. I give up. Thanks for the laugh though. i really needed that. I think I was starting to take this too serious. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Which I guess is what brought up this thread in the firstr place....just trying to get the most out of it. And if you guys are saying you're getting slip and moisture...well then shoooooo....... I guess I better work with what I got!!! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, why do you have two jars of it? I'm just curious. /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif

One is mine....then I went to buy it for someone else but I was confused and so I bought both until I could figure out which one was the right one.

Re: Tropical Avocado users.....(Texas)

Amethyst, what part of TX are you moving to? We just helped my friend move to Houston, and had a great time there! The food is fantastic...

Yeeee-Hawwwww!

Howdy CynamonKis/images/graemlins/wave.gif

I'm thinking of Houston, the Dallas-FortWorth area, or Austin /images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm hoping to be there b4 the year is out. Are you from Texas? If not, how did u guys help her move? I have family in every other state but Texas. That's alright though because everybody I know is either going to Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia. I hear these places are like NYC part 2. I know Texas is nowhere near being a NYC part 2, this is partly why I'm choosing to relocate their /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Maryland like a NYC part 2? /images/graemlins/confused.gif Girl, what on Earth part of Maryland could one be referring to? It's definitely not the part of Maryland that I live in. Thank goodness.

Re: Tropical Avocado users.....(Texas)

...florida a nyc part 2....uhhhhh /images/graemlins/look.gif...ok... Maybe miami....and even that's stretching it a bit.

/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Let me tell yall something. Alot of people I know are moving to these areas coming from NYC. I am so glad yall posted this info because people tell me that Baltimore, Maryland and Miami and especially Jacksonville Florida are not good places to go. Miami is hard for me to believe, but Jacksonville? I have family in Fort. Lauderdale, Florida; Family in Stone Mountain, Georgia; and Family in Baltimore, Maryland. So all I can go on is what they say since I'm not there. And they're telling me that NYers are bringing the same attitudes and mess down as well. And to add my own 2cents, I know that everybody from here relocating to those places can't be good. I hate to trash NYers because I'm one(currently at least).

Make no mistake about it, there is good and bad all over, but I think some places out-do other places in terms of bad and good. This is why I chose Texas because it seems for every 20 I speak to who are going to the Southeastern States, virtually noone I know is moving to Texas, which is the Southwest, and doggone-it I'm glad /images/graemlins/up.gif My family is scattered all thru out the South and my family that's in Charlotte and Greensboro North Carolona, say there seems to be more people from NY in certain areas than there are people who are originally from that state! I know for sure in Atlanta, GA- everybody and their momma are going there. Again, it's good to know that where yall live is good.

But believe me, this has been proven thru-out history, when you have a group of people moving from one location to the next, we all know they bring their culture, and way of life with them. I pray where yall live stays nice based on what you all are telling me. I may make some people mad when I say YEEEEEEEEE-HHAAAWWWWWW everybody! Texas here I come! Because I don't want to be running into anybody I knew from here-------> there.

Re: Tropical Avocado users.....(Texas)

I really don't know how Baltimore is since I live no where near there. I live in good ole Southern Maryland (which is a nice long way from Baltimore).

Re: Tropical Avocado users.....(Texas)

Im with Allandra. Maryland, huh? I live in Maryland and it is far from New York. Or maybe its because I live in the boonies. But I can see where someone would say Baltimore is NYC part2. Thats the only part of Maryland that I can think of.

Re: Tropical Avocado users.....(Texas)

I'm not following the tone of this thread... /images/graemlins/confused.gif
What's so bad about New York? It's arguably one of the most enjoyable and exciting cities in the world.

Hey ladies, I finally got my tropical avocado in the mail today. Needless to say I couldn't wait to try it. I washed my hair and put it on. It was like butter. This stuff is OFF THE HOOK!!! The DR got it going on. Yall hear me. I'm like Amethyst..I'm ready to throw out all my other conditioners. The search is over. I have found my holy grail conditioner. I also have the nacidit and will try that later in the week. Thanks for everyone for sharing their experiences and recommending this product. And thanks to all the ladies that went out of their way to get the numbers and contact info to order. I'm in love... /images/graemlins/smile.gif
