Trim/dust/cut Check In

Did it snag at all? I’ve been eyeing this for a while.
It is just like a wide tooth comb. It isn't any different. I use small sections and comb through first. Then I follow with the splitender.

If you are afraid I suggest not trying it. Usually nothing good happens when fear is involved.

I use either the felicia leather brush or the Tangle Teazer handle they look like this - 2 links below
But this is a good question because I decided to go back to my bone comb or get a detangling wide tooth shower comp.

I'm not sure i should be using brushes on my strands although they make detangling easier. @ItsMeLilLucky
Before the weekend is over I'm going to post pics of the hair I lost after washing today since my 'trim' on 10/28.
I use these kind of brushes too. Are they bad for your hair? I struggle with see-through hair also.

I also have this kind of brush as well. I don't manage my hair unless it has some type of water/leave-in/or moisturizer in it. I try to only detangle 1x per week when I am washing. The first 4 inches of my hair look thick, then the rest is see through. My hair also grows super slow. What gives? I used to also have low iron but my doctor gave me vitamins so that is corrected.

I admit that my hair is dry. I wash with Head and Shoulders Royal Collection, then DC with Camille Rose. Then I air dry in 4 plaits using The Doux Moisture Milk and seal with castor oil. During the week, I will wear my hair in a pony using goody ouchless bands. I make 3 sections inside my pony and wrap each section twice with the ponytail scrunchie. Then I add hair to my pony using kinky braiding hair.

I also will brush up the front and back using a soft boar bristle brush.

I also use this type of brush.

The first is with all the hair from pic 2 and 3 balled up.
The last pic is GROSS but I saw a YouTuber do this to show how much hair she lost and thought it was smart.
My hair is currently in smedium twists and will remain for weeks but I will wash and DC in them. I decided not to do a big cut but trim off my ends little by little in twists and also because this is the style I wore after the blow dry and trim and it was cute so I figure I can make it work with consistency, twists, wigs and no more of those wet brushes. I do want a shower K comb though. I love the front of my hair in the pic below. It was a take down from two cornrows after the trim.

I lose this much hair and my hair is APL :drunk:

What am I doing wrong?

2-3 weeks

Is that how much you normally lose?

Don't compare your shed/breakage ball to other people. You have to compare to yourself.

Things like seasons, stress, diet, product applied, tools that you're detangling with can all play a big part in how much hair that you lose. Outside of the hair tools, everything else requires carful observation. In the case of seasonal shedding you might not be able to do anything about it.

Some people shed more and some less so as I said up front, monitor against your own detangling patterns.
