Anyway, I agree with lovelymissyoli...you should go ahead and cut off those remaining relaxed ends that you see. Don't worry about length right now, hair always grows back. ;) Your natural hair texture/pattern should be more noticeable once all the relaxed hair is gone.

As far as twistouts, when my hair was shorter, my twistouts wouldn't last overnight either. I would have to retwist at night before going to sleep which took forever. So while my hair was short, I mainly sported my twa and sometimes a band around my edges. When my hair got longer (6 inches plus), I was able to get away with sleeping on a twistout without retwisting. Twistouts last longer if you initially do small to medium size twists and leave them in for a week before unravelling.
