I have been transitionng for 15 months. I am not very creative in terms of hairstyles so I have been wearing the same couple of protective styles--bun or fake pony for last serveral months. Also I tend to like straight styles more. My question is it better to get a texturizer as opposed to heat styling natural hair to straighten it. So far during my transition, I have not used much heat but my 4a/b slighty wavey, cottony, dense hair has become somewhat tight and I have been applying flat iron to it the last couple of months, once every 2-3 weeks. I am having difficult deciding what to do and I need your imput. is it possible to have health hair that is presssed a couple of times a month or is texturizing better, as in less damaging ? thanks
